This courtyard hotel has been recently built and it is very nice but one of the first things you notice is that the hallways are very narrow .This carries into the room where everything is very nicely appointed ...just a little smaller than most people will be used to
It's not as tight as a European hotel but it is noticeable.
The bathroom had the old bathtub and shower together which I thought was not as nice as somenof the newer properties that now only have showers.
I used the gym and its ok with 2 treadmills and an elliltical plus some weights...nothing special, same with the small pool.
Hamilton itself doesn't have a lot going on after 10.
Really. We were there for a swim meet in Oxford where there were no rooms. If you want to hang out for late night drinks...good luck, nothing in this town.
Its a nice little place that seems to be upcoming.
We met in Hamilton our extended family. The hotel is strategically located on the south riverbank of Miami river offering a revigorating view - we saw canoeing teams.
Right across there is a Municipal Brewery with attached Food Truck .Lots of churches around this downtown area:catholic, lutheran, etcThe hotel has an update feel to it,with refreshments around information desk,a Starbucks and a large catering room.
There is an internet space at the entrance.Double queen rooms are spacious, featuring mini fridge and mobile table. The room/hotel does not have microwave, does not accept pets and breakfast is not included. The pool is open 10 to 11 PM ,which is great, but the water is cool-ish.Some gym equipment available.Overall nice pkace, would recommend to stsy here and enjoy Fitton Center great events and the Loveland Castle (see review).
We stayed here for just one night, but the accommodations were perfect. We all remarked on how clean and well maintained the hotel was. Usually there is something wrong with the room, but here, not at all. The pool was well maintained as well. They have a small coffee shop on the first floor, perfect for morning coffee and bagel or muffin. As an aside, the central reservations office said it did not have any food outlet--I asked. Some members of our family had a nice view, mine was of the blowers on the river side. Ask for the street side, higher floor. One complaint that I have is that the gym only had treadmills in it, it would have been nice to have a exercise bike or an elliptical machine. The front desk could be a little more defined, it's a little desk. The clerk was nowhere to be found when we checked out, maybe she was in the small shop off to the side--I think one person runs it all at once.
The Courtyard by Marriott is a very consistent chain. The Courtyard in Hamilton is a nice hotel. The staff are really friendly. There is free parking and the location worked great for me. There is a gym and pool which I never used much myself, but for some looking for something like that it would be great. I found the rooms to be comfortable. I sleep with ear plugs because I find all hotels have peripheral noise that can keep me awake. With the ear plugs I would sleep soundly on the comfortable beds.
Clean, neat, well appointed and thought out rooms. Amazing staff - Friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. This hotel makes any stay in Hamilton a good one. As an out-of-towner visiting in-law-family I have finally, after years, found a comfortable "home base". Stayed in a suite facing the river for 4 days...I felt safe, secure and appreciated while there. This is DEFINATELY where I will be staying while in Hamilton for years to come. I did not utilize the bar, restaurant, pool or gym so I cannot comment on those but I will say that the room was great and the staff made every attempt to show that hospitality was priority one for them. My hat goes off to them. A truly enjoyable stay.
