We were accused and punished for numerous indiscretions she "knew" were going to happen...before we even moved into the room! The list was long and included muddy footprints, we were incompetent and would not be able to operate the fire correctly, we could not operate the washing machine, and so it went on.
It was a most unpleasant night. We were not not confident to touch anything and didn't sleep much. Got up and left early, we were not concerned about the excessive price just glad to be out of there.
Highly disturbing bizarre behavior, be warned. Wish we had read the reviews before our spontaneous decision.
We stayed in the Byron chalet which has 2 bedrooms. It was well maintained and as clean as it could possibly be. The chalet is well equipped and the beds and linen are just great. We lit the wood burner (which was ready to go) and were cosy and warm all night.
Louise was very helpful and gave us local tips and sightseeing advice.
Louise was friendly and provided us with lots of information about the local attractions and walks. The room was spotlessly clean and the heater had been put on before our arrival. Entry into the warm room was perfect on a chilly day. The room was beautifully set out and the decor complimented its surroundings with some gorgeous pictures of local scenery on the walls. Spacious bathroom.
Clean and comfortable accomodation but no frills or additions to make stay memorable. Having been staying at a variety of overnight accomodation by comparison this was overpriced and very sterile - no real welcome. Tiny room with small shower area, could not get TV to work and Wifi very poor - not necessary huge issue in such a location but don’t advertise it. Best part of stay was dinner at the tavern 600m down the road - great food! We got up and fed out early!
On our arrival the heater had been turned on so our room was warm and inviting. There was everything that we required. It was clean and comfortable, and easy to find. Check in and check out were no problems
