My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this beauty for two nights. The house is just lovely. Every little thing you could have thought of was at your fingertips, down to snacks, and breakfast treats down to fuzzy robes of all sizes. The room was tastefully decorated for fall. Gail was a ball of energy and very easy to talk to. There was only one thing we found disappointing was the internet connection. It was very spotty. We were able to use our cellphone connection for better reception. In all other respects, this place is fabulous! Even down to the garden! Lovely!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!
I was teaching at Coudersport Pennsylvania Elementary School. I arrived to a nice welcoming room on Sunday evening. After driving 3 1/2 hours- the bed was very inviting and comfortable. The room is beautifully decorated and welcoming. The bed was delightful- soft and warm. I taught a mile away- at the school. I then started to discover the town. I found, in the guesthouse , a folder full of restaurant menus and information. I could park in one spot in town, and visit the stores and restaurants. Thanks to the information that Gail had left I could choose where to eat for different experiences. When I was done teaching and exploring, I could return to the guesthouse, turn on the television, take a shower and chill out.
What an beautiful place to stay. The room was more than we expected. But more than that Dave was so helpful. We were hiking the Susquehannock Trail and needed some assistance. We called Dave to see if he could help us and we didn't know he was in North Carolina at the time. Well Dave still got on the phone and contacted people to try and give us the assistance necessary. You could not ask for more generous, caring people.
My wife and I stayed at Gail's guesthouse last Wednesday. Upon arrival we were met by Gail who showed us the lay out of the unit. She was warm and personable. The unit is nicer than the pictures. The deck is private with a beautiful wooded view. The room lacked for nothing. A most wonderful bed and a great sleep.
The town is a very short drive and a nice walk. There are a few restaurants in town and we tried Olgas. Very enjoyable lunch. I would not hesitate to stay or recommend Gails guest house. Thank you Gail for your hospitality.
The Gail DuPont Guesthouse was a delightful stop on our recent trip into Pennsylnania's scenic "Wilds" country along US Route 6. Gail and David are gracious hosts. We were greeted enthusiastically by both and David helped with bringing our luggage to the apartment and gave a full explanation of how everything works. Of all the motels and inns at which we stayed during our 18 day adventure, this was the very best! This is an upstairs studio apartment with a full kitchen, full bath and a spacious bedroom/sitting room with luxurious king size comfortable bed and plenty of room to spread out. They even provide lots of snacks to munch on. The facility offers one beautiful apartment located over Gail's beauty salon in their converted out-building. It is very private and includes a wonderful veranda/deck for outdoor dining and romantic star gazing. Cherry Springs State Park is also nearby for star gazing enthusiasts looking for one of the premier locations in the country with the darkest sky and brightest stars. There is much to see and do in the Coudersport area and the Gail DuPont Guesthouse was a perfect place from which to do our exploring. And, best of all, the price made it the best value of our vacation accommodations. That was our first stay at this location but we will definitely choose to stay there on future visits to the area.
