Stayed overnight recently. The complex itself and my room was very clean and tidy. I have never stayed at a B&B before and was very happy that I decided to stay. Initially the price was the big reason and definitely not expensive. The manager gave me a discount for being over 55. I was also upgraded to a bigger 'burrow'. You get a lot of bang for your buck. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast. All cooking appliances and utensils are available. There are a couple of sitting areas that have TV's, games, books etc. There is a pool and outdoor area which would be great for the warmer months. The manager Laurie is very helpful and went through everything. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting good accommodation. It is not far from point Clare station.

My 70 year old mother who has dementia attempted to make a booking via trivago for this property back in early February as she was looking to stay somewhere with my brother that air conditioning with a pool due to it being a unseasonably hot weekend. Before she had entered all her details the website gave her a message stating that the the webpage had timed out and booking could not processed. Since this time she has found that she has been charged by this B & B ie Wombats B & B over 600.00 for a booking that the webpage advised did not go through, nor did she receive a confirmation email from trivago or Wombats advising booking had been made. She has contacted Wombat B & B to advise of this mistake however they refuse to refund her the money. Considering the above circumstances this is despicable customer service from Wombat B & B

When we arrived at Wombats Bed & Breakfast we were greeted by Laurie who showed us to a good size room with a TV, fridge, double bed and bunk bed. We were upgraded to a bigger room for the same price, and my 2 year old son & light sleeper husband had the best sleep ever.
It was comfortable and homey with immaculate bed linen and an abundance of extra blankets, towels, and soaps/ shampoo. We were alone the first night so we enjoyed the shared bathroom & toilet facilities ourselves. It was very clean and ultra renovated. The kitchen was big and contained an oven, stove, microwave large fridge, and plates, cultery, pots & pans. It was clean and fully equipped. The breakfast was delicious, very good value for money, fresh and the complimentary fruit bowl contained a wide variety of fruit. Coffee & tea facilities were abundant. There was an outdoor dining area that was very handy and picturesque. It wasn't hot enough for the luxurious swimming pool. Chats with Laurie were very nice and informative, he was very flexible and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

When I arrived I was welcomed with a warm smile and lovely conversation. After sign in he took me on a tour of this homely warm comfortable b-n-b. The room was delightful just like home. The beds amazing and the doonas r so soft. In the morning I sat outside and enjoyed the sun near the pool. I came here for a funeral and laurie was just amazing company. I cant wait to bring my kids and husband here for a longer holiday to relax by the pool and enjoy my family and lauries company.
Thank you Laurie ive had an Amazing stay.

I stayed at Wombats B & B a few days ago because I didn't want to stay in busy Sydney. It didn't take long to get there from Sydney and although I arrived frazzled and late at night Laurie the owner was very welcoming. When he saw how worn out I looked he carried my bags in and made me a cup of tea while showing me around. I selected this place to stay on price alone. It was VERY clean and tidy and I felt very good value for money as breakfast was included in the price. I got upgraded to a lovely room with a double bed plus 2 bunks, mirrorred robes and a small modern tv in the cupboard plus fridge. Although it's a share bathroom it was immaculately clean and ultra modern and you even had you own bath mat to take in with you. All linen was top quality. I relaxed in the beautiful bath as the other house guests were out. The rooms are not huge but I was very happy with my stay there and wish I would definately stay there again. Breakfast was the best I've seen at budget priced B and B's - there were at least 4 choices of breads, cereals and it was a tea connisueurs dream there were so many choice plus tons of fruite and even strawberries in the fridge. The kitchen was fully equiped for longer stays and I would have loved to had time for a swim in the beautiful pool. Lounge room was small but had a huge TV and you could get hire movies. There is plenty of off street parking and the shops are nearby and beautiful Pt Clare was just down the road, stunningly beautiful place, I popped over to see Terrigal too and it was only 20 minutes away. Thanks for a great stay Laurie and see you again one day.
