We had a wonderful one night stay. It was very clean and quiet. Orlando is a friendly host, helping us with quick communication for our reservation. The breakfast was a delicious feast. Our queen suite was spacious. Everything was above our expectations. Great value for the rate. We'd stay here again. It was close and convenient to the 401. Sharing the washroom with the other suite was not an issue for us.
If you are visiting Prince Edward County wine country you must book a stay at the Colborne Guest House. Our host Orlando was extremely professional and courteous and was a great ambassador for Colborne. The house was very eclectic and very clean. The bedrooms were spacious with great beds and a comfy sitting area. A full breakfast was included every morning and was hot and fresh. Orlando was very accommodating with our wishes and made our stay very personal. Within minutes of returning from a very warm wine touring day, Orlando called us and wanted to know if he could bring up cold water and juices. Great service!!! We were very impressed with everything and would definitely recommend it. We will be returning for sure.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable Orlando,
Gary and Sheilagh.
We stopped here for one night on our way to the Cobourg Highland Games. We stayed in the King Suite. It was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Our host was very welcoming and provided us with a deliciously filling breakfast to start our day. We would definitely return.
We were attending the nearby Shelter Valley Folk Festival, and lucked into a room here when someone else cancelled their reservation. The guest house was five minutes from the festival gate, and was a very reasonable price. Our room was very private, and had its own sitting room. The bathroom with shower is shared with just one other room. The house itself dates back to the early 1800s and is on several acres of property.
Our host, Orlando, was extremely friendly and made sure he got everyone's breakfast preferences straight. There were fresh coffee cake, cereals, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs and toast, juice, and good, strong coffee and tea.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
We stayed on a Saturday night with another couple as we were attending a 50th birthday party in Warkworth. The home is old, however the owner has preserved a very genuine feel. This home is eclectic and really has tons of character. Beds are comfortable as there is also a sitting room along with the bedrooms in each suite. Breakfast is fabulous and our host was very accommodating. The rooms have air conditioning and the place is very clean. It is private as the owner lives in a locked off separate area of the home.
