We called a day ahead of time just to make sure the park was open. Greg assured us they were and said they had room. The next day, my husband called him again and made a reservation for 1 night. We asked for a certain spot, but it was already taken so we took the one next to it. I was sent an email confirmation and receipt. When we got to the park, the only thing we had to do was click a button in the email that said "I'm Here." It was so easy. The only thing different from our last time there was the restaurant and spa are temporarily closed due to Covid-19. The park is very clean and quite. They have upgraded the fire pits and some of the tables since we were there 2 years ago. We only spent a few hours there, but we will definitely stay there again.
Our family stayed at Davy Crockett for the month of April. I really liked the layout, which is spread generously in the woods and gives a true feeling of camping. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well-cared for. We had a fire ring and picnic table. The restaurant, pool, and hottub were closed due to covid, but bathrooms and laundry room were open and clean. Our family really enjoyed the basketball court.
We stayed in the Black Bear Cabin. It was very nice we were there for 4 days. The only issue was sometimes the hot water did not last for shower. They do have nice shower room that we ended up using. The cabin including the bathroom was beautiful. I would love to have a bathroom like the cabin had in my house!
They have a good size pool, big hot tub, catch and release pond, and excellent customer service!
This was our first time to visit. The campground is now our little home away from home, less than 10 miles from our home, lol After staying in the cabin we went back and booked a campsite close to the cabin for a month. This campground felt like being in the Smoky Mountains. It was very relaxing. They also had lights that light up at night around the walkways and pool that give it a festive feeling. We really enjoy camping there!
We had a nice time here! The family owned campground is in some ways still working on getting things fleshed out but there was nothing to complain about. Lots of hot water in the shower, plenty of room between sites. The sites are not always level so some leveling was required for us.
I would come back here in a minute!
We visited Davy Crockett Campground this past weekend during their Halloween activities. We had a good time. The restaurant was very good and great priced. Facilities were clean. Had a laundry room so that is nice for extended stays. Staff was very friendly. My only thought is a playground would be nice. They have a really nice pool area, fishing pond, and basketball court. BUT a playground would be a nice addition.
