We were there as a group , arriving independently. We arrived after 3pm but our room was still not ready (as were most of the rooms for our group). Don't worry they said sit in the lobby and we'll tell you when they are ready.
However they never did, we had to go back an hour later to check and finally get our keys.
Later we tried to get a drink at the bar, but nobody came for the 15 minutes we waited before going out in search of beer outside the hotel.
Hotel is attractive in the style of an old palace, big attractive rooms but let down badly by the bathroom which was cramped and ugly.
The meeting rooms had very poor acoustics, the domed ceiling meant that you could hear the person at the opposite point of the room but not someone a meter away from you.
Breakfast was a little disapointing, but on asking they offered me a fried egg. What finally came (after a long, long wait) was the oiliest fried egg I've ever seen cooked in oil that should have been changed quite some time ago.
Superb location across from the Royal Palace. We had a very nice superior room, with fabulous views, comfy bed, high quality linen, and a plethora of different pillows on the bed. Friendly staff. Good selection for breakfast. However, draughty double glazed windows, several unsightly broken and cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, together with a temperamental coffee machine let the side down. We used the garage parking, as we needed to leave some stuff in the car in the shade, though obviously at extra cost. At weekends there is reasonable free on street parking nearby. One final touch we appreciated.... a note on the car, advising that they had cleaned the windscreen. Even the advert for Flash would have struggled to get rid of our insect graveyard....but it really sparkled. Thank you!
Have stayed many times at the Palacio de Aranjuez. Wonderful location opposite the Palace and five minutes walk to the town centre. Impressive atrium to the reception area and staff always very friendly. Very comfortable, spacious room with impressive ceiling height (on first floor) and everything spotlessly clean. Can't wait to return at Easter time.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Hotel services, including daily breakfast, exceed all expectations. The daily breakfast offers various entrees - vegetables, ways to prepare eggs, bread, juices, coffee, presentation and flavor are simply delicious. The hotel staff in general, from the reception to the room services are friendly, attentive and make you feel at home. They are always aware of the needs and comfort of guests. The central location of the hotel makes it attractive to visit the beauties offered by the city of Aranjuez, from the Royal Palace, theater, shops, squares and places to eat
We started our tour of central Spain with 2 nights in Aranjuez. We travelled from the airport by Cercanias, changing at Charmatin. When I started planning the trip I noticed that it was much cheaper to stay in Aranjuez for our first night than stay in the NH near Atocha. Two days before our arrival we were given the opportunity to check in on line. There were several rooms on the first floor that we could have chosen from, however the online check in failed, so we had to check in on our arrival. I was disappointed that we had to take a room on the second floor, as the windows are quite small, I would have much preferred the brighter rooms below. I found it very frustating being offed something and the being denied it. Having got over my disappontment I did enjoy my stay. The situation in front of the palace makes it an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable.and we had very peaceful nights. The buffet breakfast was excellent, I especially liked the little pots of vegetables or ham to have in your omelette.
