During my stay the beds were fairly comfortable, I prefer a hot breakfast but breakfast was just cold coffee, yogurt, and what seemed to be day old bread to put in the toaster. Coffee in room wasn't very good either, not to mention and I had a headache and all the property had to offer was condoms, tampons, and advilPM - the first two in which I definitely didn't need on a stay with a friend, and advilPM isn't the greatest choice when you have to wake up at 5am. There was nothing really unique about the property - disappointed that there was no hot tub and the pool closed at 10pm ( so I was told ) but the sign said 11pm... The world may never know. A boss there was odd to say the least upon my arrival, I didn't really feel welcomed. Check-In was just very "here are your keys, you can go" I booked my reservation for an exceptional guest experience, that I guess I'm not to entitled to at the Fairfield - Fort Smith. I only stay occasionally because it's necessary and close to friends/work and I don't want to drive home, plus it's every now and then a little cheaper than the other company hotels in town (booked at a special rate online which isn't always available), however i'm considering spending my money elsewhere, where I feel like my money is valued, and i'm given a good experience. If the General Manager at the property can not, Greet me with a warm welcome (she sat in the office until she saw someone on the camera at the front desk... I saw her), thank me for being a Marriott Rewards Member & my loyalty to Marriott, Let me know the property amenities (though she did . (not to mention there was a brown hair in 214, but don't worry I took care of that and placed it the restroom trash can for them.) I was a bit to tired from the AdvilPM to complain about it. The front desk Christa was great but the GM was pretty rude and crossed a line that shouldn't be crossed when speaking with any guest, I felt almost uncomfortable talking with her and just wanted to lay down. Yeah the property is updated (but I wish as nice as the TV's are that they had Hulu.) but I really paid for the guest experience, that's what I wanted most. I have a new perspective on how guests should be treated, and don't believe that the property leadership upheld the level of exceptional service I expect when visiting the Fairfield. Marriott is always my #1 Choice, just no longer the Fairfield Fort Smith!
