Well-run hotel with lovely grounds, nice pool and hot tub. Great, thoughtful staff, easy check-in/check-out. Room is clean, spacious, comfy bed with lots of pillows, fridge/micro. 24 hour front desk. I stay there frequently when I visit Ventura County and So-Cal. Antonio and Zach are particularly helpful. Coffee is good. LaQuinta breakfasts used to be great. Now it's sugary-continental. Good location with restaurants and grocery stores nearby if you want a better breakfast.
Stayed in room 305 on 6/22/20. This is a multi story hotel w outdoor corridors It was clean, safe, friendly , and quiet in spite of its’ close proximity to the freeway
The room had a comfy bed a nice tv a fridge and microwave clock iron and board hairdryer and coffee maker. Room was clean except for some cosmetic marks in the tub
They have an outdoor pool and hot tub and a gym There is a laundry There are vending machines No extra charge to park in the outdoor lot
The regular complementary breakfast is now grab an go w some pastry water and a snack. I did sit down and eat cereal eggs juice and yogurt No hit items
You are right next to the 101 freeway I walked about a mile west to the IHOP There were some other places on the way There is a grocery store across the freeway
The city bus runs past the hotel( TO transit )The buses do have limited schedule. it runs to a park and ride lot about 2 miles away at Rancho Rd You can connect to LA and Ventura buses there No air or rail service here unless you go to Moorpark for Metrolink trains
Pets welcome and it is handicap friendly. You can smoke only in an outdoor area
If you are traveling on the 101 this is very convenient and a nice place to stay
Friendly staff greeted me and checking in and ou . Adequate looking complimentary breakfast (I don't eat that early) was served. The reception area was clean. A small workout room is available, as well as an outdoor poo . I didn't check the pool very closely The room was large and roomy. Natural light appears to be limited in most room . The bathroom was functional, clean, although dated and tired. A refrigerator and microwave were desirable feature . The bed was comfortabl . I thought it was a bit over priced for the accommodation, but it is very close to 101, without any noticeable road nois .
We were here over the holidays for an obligatory family visit, not really a vacation, so cost was a major factor. This was not the most swank place we've ever stayed in, but overall it was nice, and we'd stay there again under similar circumstances. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room and bathroom were small but adequate, better suited for one person than two. The room felt dark, even with all of the lights turned on, but we were able to get used to it. The Dish TV service was a little flaky, but again, adequate. Decent Wi-Fi. Breakfast is fairly minimal, with the only egg option being cold hard-boiled, but there's enough of a selection there to at least get the day started and coffee and hot water for tea are available 24x7. It was too cold out to swim, but the pool and hot tub looked nice enough. We also never got around to using the fitness room. Again, small but adequate with the usual cardio equipment and a universal weight setup. We'd never choose this hotel for a vacation destination, but for the money and the purpose, this was a great option for us.
Really nice place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is planning on being in the thousand oaks , Newbury Park area. Nice pool, large clean rooms. Pleasent staff. Also close to a variety of restaurants
