Mason was so helpful from the first call. I actually turned around and came to this hotel while cancelling another hotel we had a reservation at. Mason explained what his hotel does right now. They do a hot breakfast, wear masks and clean everything. The pool was warm and clean. The hotel staff was helpful with bringing towels to the room right away, or helping to get the room at the right temp. The rooms have been remolded and not low end. They have couches and desks. The bed is very comfortable. Bathrooms are really nice. What a deal at these prices. This is a hidden gem from West Lake or wherever. 20-30 minutes to Malibu. Worth staying here. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Starbucks is close although they have coffee in the room and you can get a hot breakfast during Covid. Yes a hot breakfast. They give a drink upon check in like 805 or a Wine Spritzer.

Mason was flawless from the phone call to coming in and paying for the room. Great staff and very attentive.

First calling the Hotel was kind and inviting. The stores around walking right across the street are Ralph's and Walmart Grocery. Walgreens, a Liquor Store. Gas, and several restaurants.

Grace was amazing. She gave us free waters at the front desk. I stayed somewhere in the area last night and there were no free waters. The pool was from 9 am-9 pm and a grab and go cold breakfast included. The internet was much faster for streaming than I expected and the signal was everywhere.

I asked Grace for towels and she got housekeeping to come at 8 pm to help my family. Grace sent the Housekeeping right away. Offered and asked if I need anything else like waters. If I am in the valley I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Seriously room rates are competitive or less. Parking easy and well lit. Classy place. There is lights all around on the pool fence. Rooms are clean and upscale remodeled. They also give AAA and Military Active or Veterans Discounts. Not all Hotels in the area do this.

We went to the Palm Garden Hotel during the latest heat wave, when our a/c blew and our house reached 95 degrees in the early evening. We had some familiarity with the Hotel as we had held my eldest daughter's Bat Mitzvah "kids" party there six years ago, but we had never spent a night. I believe we got the last room (it was a Holiday weekend) and, in addition to my spouse, myself and two teenagers, we also brought our (smallish, well-behaved) dog with us to stay two nights.

The Palm Garden did not disappoint! Our standard room (2 queen beds) had definitely been refurbished. Kids liked the "barn door" leading the the bathroom. Beds were quite comfortable; toiletries provided were nice quality. Because we went during the Pandemic, when we got to our room we wiped everything down with disinfectant wipes we brought, but surfaces seemed clean and refreshed even without our actions. Breakfast (included) was unusually good for a hotel. We didn't use the pool or exercise room, but grounds were nicely kept, with a combo of plants, trees, flowers, grass and turf. Beautiful at night with the lights lit in the courtyard. Result: we will definitely go again... perhaps for a special weekend or if (fingers crossed this doesn't happen) our a/c goes out again!

Dear Richard, Thank you for sharing with the tripadvisor community. We're sorry to hear you had A/C troubles during the heat wave, that is never fun. But we are glad to hear you enjoyed the time you spent with us during the heat wave. Our pool has really come in handy this summer, and we were very happy when we were able to open it. Thank you for trusting us with your heat wave needs, and we hope to see you again soon. Yours in hospitality, Michael Reardon Director of Operations

I traveled for a living for almost 30 years and have stayed at many, many hotels. I/we feel that this facility needs an honest review, which I have never done before through the years. Our room was perfect, recently remodeled so everything was super clean and new. A refreshing change from the same old boring major chains with old, dingy rooms. The breakfast was top notch compared to most. They actually had a menu to choose from instead of the standard "continental breakfast" that so many other hotels offer. The grounds were freshly groomed and obviously well maintained. The pool was clean and refreshing and the nightly Jacuzzi was relaxing. The gym was clean and well maintained with more than just a "couple" machines, like most. Not many pet friendly accommodations can compare to Palm Garden. The staff was fantastic and very friendly. If I'm ever in Ventura County CA again I will definitely be contacting this Hotel and hopefully they will have rooms available.

A beautiful resort style hotel with a fabulous pool, luxurious spacious rooms, a huge free breakfast and a friendly and caring staff. You can’t go wrong. There’s plenty of restaurants and quality shopping in the area.
Ralph’s and restaurants are walkable
