We stayed at Casa Glebinas for three days at the tail end of our 18-day trip to Patagonia and Mendoza. It had, by far, the most charm of any hotel we stayed in, including one for several hundred dollars a night more. The photos on the website don't do it justice. Our 'casita' was a first floor unit with kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and tiny front living area (really just a couch). It exuded charm and character. The moment you drive through the electric gate into the property, you leave the stress of the travel behind you. The grounds are immaculate and clearly created by people who love plants and landscaping. We enjoyed the pool several nights. The front desk women, Pia and the owner's daughter, both were very helpful in organizing wine tours, selecting nearby restaurants and even helping identify hiking areas to the west of town. The breakfast bar was excellent with scrambled eggs available, as well. We enjoyed our stay very much and only wish we could have stayed longer.
Collection of units on older large private home + grounds. Our unit was "quaint" ... on the small side, with seemingly not much room to open suitcases. Nice bath, A/C works well and the grounds are beautiful...pool and swing sets for kids. Stayed earlier at Finca Adalgisa around the corner and paid $120 more than Casa G. But, the staff here really knocks it out of the park -- they are outstanding!! We were traveling heavily and the day before check-in I sent Pia (3) emails, all of which she responded to inside of 10-15 minutes! She fixed us up with a super driver (Alberto) for a Aconcagua day trip for $195 which was just great!! All the staff was helpful with everything, friendly, and they really care. Breakfast starts late (8:30) for get-up-and-go early risers, but that is our problem, and they can get you coffee earlier. All in all a SUPER stay, would come back in a minute!! Good job!!
My wife and I spent four nights at this garden inn this past February.
The staff is Excellent! From dining to planning activities and making reservations for wine tasting, everything was provided with enthusiasm and a smile. Everyone was eager to please us.
Food and wine were very good. Breakfast in the dining room or on the terrace of our room was easy and fast.
We will definitely return when we visit Mendoza.
Casa Glebinias is unlike other hotels--it is the labor of love of a family that loves nature and gardens. The have created an oasis in a very warm, arid part of Argentina. You go through the gate and find yourself surrounded by trees, flowering bushes, and birdsong. The accommodations are suites built in such a way that they did not have to cut down many trees, so some of the rooms have funky shapes. This didn't bother us at all since we built our home addition around a blue spruce... After a day of wine or mountain tours, it is wonderful to come back to the pool, friendly staff, and delicious meals prepared just for you. Absolutely worth a visit.
We so loved our stay at Casa Glebinias. The staff was excellent breakfast superb and location perfect. Our room was lovely and the grounds incredible. We really enjoyed our stay. Stay no where else when traveling to Mendoza.
