Simple French interiors both in our room and the main house beautiful...loved the decor...very quiet, dined in the garden til the sun went down...loved Beatrice’s homemade baking so much that I even got the recipe from her! Thank you, I’m going to bake this afternoon! A decent shower in the bathroom!!
As soon as we drove into the driveway we just knew we had happened on a little gem in the heart of the Loire Valley for our 3-night stay. We had the Seranade room which was elegant and spacious with a colour palette of warm pinks and burgundy against the stone of Touraine, a mixture of materials and antique furniture. Beautiful bathroom with separate WC, hair dryer, towels and toiletries. Also included a courtesy tray with tea, coffee, kettle. WiFi available too.
Breakfast was in the main house - quite beautiful. Great coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, breads, preserves, cake. We couldn't have asked for more.
We arrived with our bikes and were not disappointed with the cycle route options on the doorstep. Beatrice was able to give us a selection of Route Options from shorter rides of 15-20km, 47km and even longer. Lots of choices.
A 5* star special place to stay. We loved it.

warm welcome from Beatrice, a pleasant surprise visiting the spacious bedrooms warmelly decorated ; silence during the night we had a fantastic sleep but waking up the breakfast was the real surprise: old china pots and cups and all we could wish on the table in a romantic dining room
This was one of four B&Bs we had the pleasure on our recent trip to France. Beatrice is a wonderful hostess and she provided a warm welcome. Her breakfast table was excellent. This was the only one to offer to cook eggs and they were very well prepared.
Beatrice recommended two restaurants in nearby Montrichard and they were good and not touristy.
Our second floor room was spacious with wonderful views of the garden and our buildings from windows on both sides. The bathroom was very clean and functional, although not fancy.
We spent the last three days of our two week tour of France with Beatrice at her lovely Le Clos de la Chesneraie. We were first struck by the beauty of the courtyard and surrounding gardens - truly a refuge! Our room was tastefully appointed and quite comfortable, with a window overlooking the vegetable garden and fruit trees. Beatrice was a delightful host, serving a delicious continental breakfast the first morning, then surprising us with homemade French toast the next. She provided excellent advice regarding the surrounding area, and even had some vouchers to help us save on admission to the sites that interested us. Chenonceau is just a short drive from Le Clos, as are a number of good restaurants. Weary on our last day in the region, we spent the final afternoon just enjoying the peaceful setting, We loved our stay, and hope to return!
