As the name says, this hotel is a marvelous place to retreat, and enjoy some peaceful time. From the moment you arrive you will feel at home, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We arrived early in the morning and we were invited to have breakfast while they were setting up our suite. The hotel was extremely quiet and although we did see other guests, it felt like we were the only ones there. Food is great, the room very comfy with all the ideal amenities and the pools and views are breathtaking. The hotel is in a secluded area passing Ornos, so you will need to make transportation arrangements to visit Mykonos town. The front desk will be very helpful to set up such things. We loved our stay in this property and our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer.
My husband and I came to stay here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful, restful stay. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed with a cold crisp drink and a free room upgrade (one of the many perks of visiting during low season!). We were given a sea view room which was fine. The room itself is pretty basic and the bathroom fittings a bit ropey but the room is cleaned throughly every day and had great air con so offered a peaceful night’s sleep. The breakfast offered at this hotel is fabulous- there is a huge amount of choice and you can eat breakfast while enjoying the outstanding sea views. There are 3 gorgeous infinity pools but be aware that the two quiet pools (without piped music) fill up quickly. The other pool, by the restaurant has loud music playing all day.
All in all, the combination of a small quiet hotel with lush gardens (and a fab array of plants) and cool clear pools made for a fantastic romantic holiday. If I were to have any criticism it would be the prices of the extras (spa, drinks etc) although I imagine these prices are indicative of Mykonos prices in general - this is not a cheap island!
I would 10/10 recommend this hotel for anybody seeking a quiet, romantic holiday with sublime views out to sea.
Small and friendly boutique hotel with great sea views and 3 beautifully presented sun terraces and pool areas. Great place for a relaxing away from it all break. The room was stylishly decorated although a little dark. This was made up for by the sizeable private sun terrace. The hotel restaurant provided great quality food although the evening menu was limited and didn’t change for the 10 days we were there. The closest taverna was a 30 minute walk away or 10 minute taxi ride. Mykonos town is a 15 minute taxi ride and a must see. The real gem is the staff who were always on hand to make sure we had what we needed and always ready to offer helpful advice on the location etc.
This is a sophisticated boutique hotel converted from 3 villas overlooking the Aegean, offering 18 rooms. It is stunningly beautiful, with its whitewashed buildings, 3 pools and fantastic views from any part of the complex.
The staff are professional and friendly throughout, well led by the charming manager Nikolaos.
If you want a relaxing stay in Mykonos for 2-3 days, this is the place for you!
But....not everything is perfect. The rooms are far too small and the bathrooms are simply the old en-suites from the villa days, so no room to move around. Two people cannot leave their bathroom paraphernalia in the space available.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you WILL need a car because taxis are virtually non-existent on Mykonos (31 available for the whole island in summer!) and expensive if you are lucky enough to find one.
Maintenance in the hotel is patchy: our room had broken lights, broken toilet seat and broken door. More attention is paid to the shared areas that can be seen by all.
Breakfasts are excellent, offering a good choice of well prepared and beautifully presented food on designer-ware. Dinner is equally well prepared but from a very unimaginative menu. It seems they accept that most people will go into town to sample the huge selection of restaurants there.
Personally, we found 10 days here too long. Recommended as a short break retreat, just as it’s name implies!
Spent 9 days here with my husband and really didn't want to leave. If you're looking to escape from the world for a while this is the place to go. A small boutique hotel, though it often feels like you are in your own private complete with full staff waiting on, all of whom are absolutely superb, discreet but there when needed and nothing is too much trouble. Near enough to Mykonos town if you want to go in in the evenings at €20/taxi (we often shared with other couples as the taxis can seat 6/8 people so this kept costs down).
You can swim in the sea off rocks from the hotel if you get board (unlikely) with the 3 beautiful pools or walk to a small sandy beach, just 10 mins away (bit of an uphill climb on the way back).
Can't wait to return
