Hendra is the sweetest man with a heart of gold. We arrived amidst the COVID-19 madness and the hotel was actually closed for a few days renovation and booking.com had screwed up, but Hendra honoured the booking and insisted on having us stay anyway. He quickly prepared a gorgeous room, gave us fresh coconuts while we waited and everything was ready within 10 minutes! The staff were all so friendly and happy, the pools were stunning, rooms always clean and bright and beautiful. The entire vibe and feel of the hotel is relaxed, homely, and very Mediterranean. We wished we’d booked to stay here for our entire Gili Air trip!
We fell in love with Koho. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom spacious. Both very clean. The grounds were very well maintained and the pool was perfect after a long day exploring the island. We loved the breakfast as it was made fresh and the choices were excellent. It was also very centrally located which made it easy to get around and get to and from the port. The staff were incredibly helpful (the guys at breakfast between the 19/12 - 23/12 were awesome).
The only thing I would say to improve would be to have a bigger drying rack for all the snorkelling /swimming stuff.
Bicycles to rent were good too
Stayed at The KOHO for 4 nights and it was lovely. The Hotel is new so The room was clean and fresh. That goes for the other facilities as well. The pool area is cosy with lots of different sitting options to choose from. The best part with this accomodation is The superfriendly staaff that always have a smile on their faces and are always willing to assist you. The breakfast did not have many options to choose from, but everything on The menu was tasteful and fresh.
We are just home for a lovely, relaxing stay here. The hotel is a short walk from the harbour so very convenient and great if you don’t want to have to use the horse carriages.
Room was comfy and air con was good. Decor was nice. The hotel is new and facilities are still being developed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. They couldn’t have been better.
The breakfast choices were good and food very tasty.
Loved it.
When booking the room, I was mildly apprehensive because there were so few reviews, but I came to find out the hotel only opened up a couple of weeks ago.
I'm glad I did though because this hotel is a gem. Everything from walking down the side road builds anticipation when you see this clean, Santorini-like property ahead. You turn a corner to find the Koho Air Hotel, and it's breathtaking.
The owners (who I had the pleasure of meeting while staying there), placed such careful attention to the details - from the layout of the property to the colors, to every little detail in the hotel room.
The rooms are extremely well-designed, modern and extremely clean. They even put a small vaporizer/night light to give the room a wonderful scent (and probably to keep mosquitoes away). The rooms also have open-air showers so you can shower under the moonlight, in addition to excellent products in the bathroom (and all eco-friendly).
The cute little bar on the property served as a wonderful gathering place for the guest (in a relaxed, quiet way--not boozy party way), and the pool/lounge area was perfect. The food menu was small, but had great options, and as someone who is a risk-averse eater in Bali, I never got sick from the food and it all tasted amazing. The staff is extremely careful about wiping down each and every glass, and using filtered water for everything.
I would highly, highly recommend this place for almost any type of traveler (solo or honeymooner or even friends).
