OK. Its an older hotel, solid with thick soundproof walls. The electrics are odd being French style Shuko sockets with adaptors, the swimming pool was empty and the included breakfast was re-fried corned beef, egg and rice only + coffee ( not a western idea of breakfast) The restaurant is closed,...
... The maintenance was bad. The bathroom sink was leaking, and an old rag was placed to keep the water from spreading. But the rag was old and stinky. The location is good. There is a restaurant, alright, but it was not anything remarkable. The pool is so small it can only be for kids.
I stayed in a poolside room - the clean pool is very small - for a tariff of P1650 including a basic breakfast of two pancakes (cooked waffle style) with a pineapple juice, to which I added my own Guimaras mango (to the pancake, not the drink.) The staff's English was functional. There are 18...

The restaurant is closed, but plenty of restaurants a short ride away.

BUT
If you want a big clean room, air con, Fridge, TV, some hot water and a really quiet location to get a good sleep. this is the best hotel by miles. Excellent box sprung mattresses, white sheets and pillows. Balcony with sea view for free!

Situated between the sea and the airport ( 3 flights a day? Never heard one in 3 days), on the quiet side of town. Tricycle anywhere in the city for P8/person.

For comfort and peace, its a no brainer, don't look anywhere else.

A high national government official was supposed to have stayed here on a visit to Masbate. So I booked on one trip. I was disappointed. The maintenance was bad. The bathroom sink was leaking, and an old rag was placed to keep the water from spreading. But the rag was old and stinky.

The location is good. There is a restaurant, alright, but it was not anything remarkable. The pool is so small it can only be for kids.

I stayed in a poolside room - the clean pool is very small - for a tariff of P1650 including a basic breakfast of two pancakes (cooked waffle style) with a pineapple juice, to which I added my own Guimaras mango (to the pancake, not the drink.)

The staff's English was functional.

There are 18 rooms but only two were occupied on the night I stayed. The hotel's German male owner was away in Cebu City, Cebu Island where he may be constructing another hotel.

The generously sized room had a pleasant Queen or King sized bed with a well padded mattress in which one could feel the 'squares' - sort of like an immovable massage bed - and quality linen.

The airconditioning took a while to cool all the room but was acceptable, although noisier than a modern split system unit would be.

There were bedside tables and an old CRT type television set, while the curtain did not completely block a fluro light outside, but I still slept well.

Lighting in the bathroom was very good while with the shower I could only obtain a tepid flow, but apart from making it had to wet one's back this did not matter. Complimentary shampoo, a sachet of toothpaste, soap and toothbrushes were provided and the bathroom was very clean.

I did not see any ant or cockroach appearances which is always a good sign, particularly the latter. The restaurant is also quite roomy.

Access from Milagros town (bangka ex Roxas City: eight hours!) took 57 minutes by sole use tricycle at a cost of P200.

The hotel restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening but I walked 100 metres to 7AR Resort and Restaurant and enjoyed an excellent paella.

This hotel may need an internal lick of paint but given that there was a complete lack of overnight tricycle, jeepney, rooster or barking dog noise, a sound sleep should be yours. The hotel (or at least the owner's house, not sure which) backs onto the sea but it appears to lack a beach.

For a cheap 20php tricycle ride from the pier you arrive at a very nice hotel with large rooms containing king size beds. We got a sea view room to be off the street. Breakfast was included. Nice hot showers, good a/c, & clean.Staff was not overly helpful, bit of a language barrier perhaps. The hotel advertises being the only one in town with a pool, the pool was unusable as the water was a pea soup color.

Likes: good look, good forniture, clean, comfortable beds, tidy, a well built house.
Unlikes: my room (19) was in the cheapest group (2400 Php), on the road side. In my opinion is overpriced. There are cheaper and better rooms in town, a brand new hotel (900 Php). AC obsolete, very noisy and low efficiency. Noise come also in to the room trough the slits around the AC. Low pressure shower. Bad TV signal. Only few dishes for dinner and neither cheap nor so tasty. Filipino personnel, or owner I don't know, are not helpful and nice at all. Wifi only in the hall. Swimming pool, pretty small, with no attractive water.
I wonder why charge that prices if there aren't the plus??

Room Tip: If you can afford their high prices choose a sea view room, not a road side.
