we were recently honoured to join our friends at their wedding in i Luoghi di Pitti and I cannot praise the staff highly enough.
The setting in itself is grand, beautiful, refined. The renovations have been done in such sympathy for the original and every room and space are just as wonderful as each other. As you discover the domain your breath is taken away time after time.
We stayed in one of the upper rooms and it was perfect comfort, the bathrooms are original and modern with very nice finishes and furnishing. The view from the window onto the olive groves will stay with me forever,
And then you have the staff...that truly make this an experience. I have never experienced such genuine care and attention given to guests, from the breakfast service where nothing is as problem, to the kind and watchful eyes over little guests, to the detail and irreproachable cleanliness throughout the whole resort.
Like a discreet army of extended family, you are surprised at every exchange and feel truly welcomed in this beautiful setting,
would return in a heart-beat.
We picked this as it was on our route south...but what a pick. When we drove in we thought we had gone to the wrong place, it was absolutely stunning. A beautiful Masseria that has been incredibly tastefully turned into a very beautiful hotel. They mainly cater for wedding parties, but we were pampered so well that I doubt you could better it in most of Italy - they even lent us their son, Domenico, as translator, so we could go on an archaeological tour of Altamura the next morning. Nothing was too much bother, we had had a long drive and looked a bit bedraggled but we were offered a local organic wine and to sit and rest before we checked in - food was superb and the room tastefully decorated and large in size, with beautiful linens and super clean.
We couldn't recommend more - and we will definitely be back.
Best value, adequate size room , excellent facility . Would go back anytime
We had to return for forgotten item and we aske for lunch, they prepared special
one for us that was outstanding! Family owned operation that cater to all your needs.
This was the best hotel of our Puglia trip, despite having our 1-year old kid in the same room than us! The hotel is located in the countryside, so far away from noise and crowds. It is mainly a wedding place so don’t expect the usual hotel service : it is much calmer and nicer. Staff is very friendly and wants to make sure everything is perfect, absolute top-notch quality. We had an early flight but they did not see any problem at all to serve breakfast at 6:30 (very early by Italian standards) even though there were only a few rooms occupied.
We also had dinner there, it was truly amazing, both quality and quantity as wine was included for 40€/head so great value. We definitely recommend it.
we had a great stay here, particularly due to Orazio. The place itself is sunning as you might expect from somewhere whose main business is as a venue for posh weddings - one of which was taking place while we were there. But the service and attention we received couldn't have been better. The breakfasts and dinner were amazing, and all personally served by Orazio. He even set-up a table for us at the edge of the wedding receptiom so that we could also enjoy that. On another evening, Orazio took us on a quick tour of Altamura, including a visit to a traditional bakery and a personalised meal at Mercatale. He also recommened visiting nearby Gravina, which we thought was more interesting than Matara - and not crowded with tourists. The only quibble would be that the room could do with a bit of renovation, although the view from the balcony over the grounds was lovely. All in all, thank you Orazio for a memorable stay.
