We arrived late, after s 1100 km drive, and really looked forward to a good nights sleep. The host
Had left easy-to-follow instructions on how to get the key, and everything was smooth until we lay in our beds.. we were on the first floor and the people on the next floor kept wandering about in their room, and it sounded like they were in our room.. we did not sleep at all that night.. the hotel is quite nice, but very very noicy
We have had four stays at the Biedermeir opting for the 4 star 2 bedroom apartment and have reported the excellent facilities and friendly personal service in previous posts.
In 2017 we stayed for 12 days in August and found charges didn't change in peak periods.
All apartments have good outlooks we found the larger ones are well worth a bit extra cost facilities are very comprehensive with good parking and free room Wi-Fi works well.
For stays of four nights the Tourist Office provides Free Travel on Public Transport for bus, rail and trams throughout the large Black Forest Region with a convenient burger bus link to the station just outside only 20 minutes to Freiburg - also thrown in is a free visit to the Vita Classica Spa not to be missed.
We liked the option of being able to travel around especially by rail and using the car for trips into the less accessible nearby Black Forest countryside.
Located on the edge of town in nice grounds with lots of character with good shopping and facilities fairly close by.
Germany is getting expensive but we have found self catering is a good option
Separate living area and kitchen. Then bedroom and bathroom. The best shower we have had in all the places we've stayed. The town is lovely. Best is the free train and bus rides that come with the hotel. We take advantage of that as we don't have to look for car parks in towns we don't know.
Very clean with a comfortable bed.....all one can ask for in a small pension style hotel. Michael was a great host, providing information on the local area. BE Aware......if you arrive after 8pm , you need to phone to ask for a code to the lockbox with your room key so if you are not travelling with a phone or one with a local calling plan, you might be stuck !
Michael made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. He gave us a good run through on the appartments and Bad Krozingen.
This accommodation is very comfortable with a touch of "German traditional" and modernity. The room we had was amply large with a lovely modern kitchenette (no microwave), a small balcony with table and chairs and inside the room there was also a couple of comfy chairs and table plus a writing desk with additional chair.
When you get your key from Michael you pay a small tax which is offset by a gift card for travel on local trains and a town bus that stops right outside the appartments.
