We enjoyed a very happy 5 nights' stay, having booked the independent room away from the main house. Xavier and Isabelle are lovely, welcoming people, who go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is made as comfortable and as happy as possible. Breakfasts were out of this world, the bedroom and bathroom very spacious and comfortably furnished, the swimming pool is in a beautiful setting, and we used the outdoor summer kitchen to cook meals on 2 evenings. The bistro restaurant in the nearby village of Saumane (15 minutes walk) is a delight too. Walking in the Vaucluse is fantastic from this B&B - Xavier and Isabelle will help you plan a route. As long as you realise the woodland setting is isolated from the village you will find La Bastide du Vallon hard to beat. We will certainly return if visiting this beautiful area of France.

What a lovely place to be away from the hustle and bustle but only 15 minutes from Fontaine de Vancluse. Set in the hilltop village of Saumane, lovely room with own entrance and terrace, you can also enjoy their outdoor swimming pool and summer kitchen. Very welcoming and helpful family. You must have a car as you drive down to some narrow road to get there.
Our sat nav took us onto the other side of the mountain, behind the property, make sure to head to Saumane village and wind your way through the village to the private road.
Would love to come back for a longer stay.

Very nice obliging people. The room is self-contained at the back of the house up some steps. It is very nicely and tastefully decorated. There is a pool, though we didn't use it. The chambre d'hote is very close to L'Isle sur la Sorgue which is a delight, particularly for those who like antiques. Also close is Fontaine de Vaucluse.

The breakfast is extra, but well worth the 7.5e. It comprises fruit, yoghurts, cheese, jam, croissants, bread, freshly-squeezed orange juice. All is beautifully presented with flowers and was so pretty to look at, we took a photo. Recommended.
