After deciding on a break somewhere, then narrowing this down to the Lake District it was an easy choice to go to this hotel. An excellent pool area with a sauna and steam room made it very easy. Quite easy to find and close to Keswick for shopping and a varied choice of places to eat.

However was told by local user that jacuzzi has been out of action for 5 years!!! Near to the excellent Lakeland Distillery and Not far from... More

Booked this as it was local to the Distillery bistro. Booked an executive room but please don't confuse this with an executive room at the likes of the Hilton or Pullmans. The room was basic and the furniture is dated. The view was overlooking the car park with the main road directly behind that, traffic was low but loud. The... More

Very nice stay for two nights.Room very clean as was the bathroom and shower.Staff helpful and pleasant in fact hard to find fault, perhaps the bar snacks could have been a little more imaginative but other than that would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed on a one night DBB deal. It had the 'best rate available' but I am unsure whether we actually received that. It is my understanding that whilst we were staying in the hotel - there were as few as 25 guests - and it was eerily quiet about the place. We were allocated Room 62... More

Good hotel. First Class service from the two very busy men on bar staff duties. Reception staff very helpful. Room clean and everything on hand. Definitely use again on any stopover visit to keswick. Pool facilities also good although Jacuzzi was out of order.

Easy to find, and plenty of parking (though the signs from there to reception took us the long way round the building). The receptionist was polite and welcoming, giving us all the information we needed about the hotel and the area. It was a bit complicated finding our room, as again the signage, to our number, was a bit hit... More

Enjoyed a 3 night B and B break in October. The hotel was very nice, room clean, and a very good breakfast. Had our evening meal in the bar area where the food and service were fine. Didn't bother looking for anywhere else to eat. Lovely grounds and views. Hope to stay there again in the future.
