Just had a couple of nights in the Lake District to do some Christmas shopping. Enjoyed our stay at Ravenstone Lodge. The staff were all very good, and the food was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean and warm. Recommended.

We stayed in this hotel for a 3 night break. It was a lovely surprise to find that it exceeded our expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and efficient without being intrusive. We opted to eat in the hotel on the first night and the food was so good we dined there every night beautifully...

From the moment we arrived at this gem of a hotel, set in the most beautiful location, we were made to feel really welcome. The place was spotless throughout, warm and comfortable with amazing views all around. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they even took our very wet boots and coats to dry...

We spent a night at Ravenstone Lodge, very friendly helpful staff and it's in a nice situation with a lovely walk down to St Bega's church from the garden. Had dinner in the Stables Bistro which was comfortable but we were slightly disappointed with the choice for vegetarians and the small portions. We had a bit of lettuce on top...

Great hotel with friendly professional staff. Great food - ate there every night rather than travelling out to eat. Well worth a visit if you want a quiet weekend away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Very relaxing & chilled.

A week ago i decided that I needed to go to the Lake District to see all the beautiful scenery that only this area can show. I found this small hotel and booked two nights dinner bed and breakfast. On arrival we were treated in a very friendly fashion making us feel welcome and at ease. Our room was very...

Lovely family run hotel, comfortable room - with homemade biscuits and fresh milk. Staff were friendly and attentive. We were able to relax next to the fire in the conservatory after our long days walking. Their are various board games available if you wish. Food was amazing we booked for the first night but soon realised didn't need to eat...

Ravenstone Lodge Hotel is situated just off the main road in between Bassenthwaite Lake and Dodd Wood and Fell. The Autumnal colours and beautiful sunshine made the setting even more spectacular than usual. Our room was really cosy with a lovely view of the Lake side. The bed was comfortable and the shower was invigorating after a hard day's walking...

if it weren't for the dodgy toaster at breakfast this place would be faultless. The hotel is a little plain, it has the type of prefab conservatory you find stuck on the back of most British houses, and the restaurant is just a room but everything else is done so well. The views, the rooms and the service are top...

Situated at the foot of Ullock Pike close to Skiddaw with views towards Bassenthwaite Lake and the Northern Fells we are perfectly positioned to explore the Northern Lake District.Ravenstone Lodge is a privately small hotel with just 9 bedrooms and because of this we can provide a uniquely personal service and when you stay with us you are not just a room number but are our guests in the true meaning of the word.
