Excellent visit to Ravenstone Lodge. Staff exceptionally welcoming. I have had a stroke and have anxiety attacks, the staff were so friendly I felt immediately at ease. Our room was pleasant. Food was excellent, my lamb was tender and cooked to my exact taste. My dessert - pannacota was the best I had ever had. The hotel itself is sweet...

Beautifully situated right at the bottom of the best way up Skiddaw. Clean, comfortable rooms. Welcoming, helpful staff. Decent food. A lovely terrace preched above green pasture to sit outside when the sun shines. Not a lot not to like.

We spent two nights in mid June. We were greeted by the welcoming owner and one of his staff, and shown to our room with a check that we had already booked in for our evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable. At all times the staff were kind, efficient, courteous and caring for us. The food, both at...

Peaceful location, easy to find and great to go walking straight from the hotel if you wish. Our room was large bright and airy with good storage/hanging space, and a very comfy bed, plus tea/coffee making facility. The deep long bath with shower over was fantastic with plentiful hot water for a good soak after trekking the hills!! A walk...

Ravenstone Lodge was chosen for our annual reunion. We booked for two nights. Everyone spoke highly of all aspects of the experience particularly the staff, the cleanliness of the place, the food and the situation. Local walks and activities were well suited to those beyond what the French term the "Troisieme Age"

This small Hotel is beautifully positioned to visit some of the best scenery in the Lake District. The welcome from owner Michael and his staff was warm and friendly and our room was well appointed and very comfortable. On arrival we took a stroll across the fields from the hotel down to St Bega's Church by the edge of Bassenthwaite...
