We were travelling in a self contained motorhome and had a powered site at the Collingwood Park Motel, overlooking the Collingwood Estuary with the mountains in the west. The view was peaceful and perfect, the purpose built facilities for a motorhome were the best I've seen in my 3 week NZ South Island Holiday and the Tui's singing in the... More

The cabins were surprisingly well equipped, nice and clean that we regretted that we didn't stayed a bit longer. The hostess was friendly and very welcoming, pragmatic and so helpful with information about things to do in the area.

Great find right in town but only a few minutes from the beach. The room was a good size , bed very comfortable, great shower. Hosts were very accommodating. Altogether good value. Having sunscreen provided by the office was a nice touch

A great location beside the estuary in the lovely small town of Collingwood. The advice of staff on places to visit was invaluable as it it made for 3 very enjoyable days in this area. The facilities within the room and the mezzanine layout is great for families.

We like Collingwood Park. Good standard unit, very clean, helpful, friendly owner. We've been before and will go again. Excellent base for Wharariki beach and Farewell Spit. Oh, and don't forget the Collingwood museum.

We stayed here for two nights to visit Farewell Spit. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable without too many frills. We had rooms 8 and 9 in a separate building and this worked well for us as a group of 4. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The motel is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We had beautiful walks on Farewell Spit, to Cape Farewell, to Waikoropupu Springs and to Wharakiri Beach. The history of the village of Collingwood is also very interesting with information boards at appropriate places.

The motel was very clean and the owner Ann was very helpful and stored some items whilst we went off on a trip. Older style motel but very well kept. Great location as able to walk to the beach from here, and an easy start point for a trip to Farewell Spit
