We were surprised to experience such a high level of accommodation at such a reasonable price! Rooms were attractively designed and furnished, breakfast was excellent and staff courteous and friendly. We will certainly stay here again when in the area.

We stayed here to be close to Huddersfield - but a little further out for peace and quiet. The New Hobbit is still having additional rooms built and has obviously undergone considerable refurbishment. Our room(#1) overlooked the car park but was completely quiet - I guess if a wedding celebration was underway and you were not invited, it could be...

A large group of us stayed here over the weekend for a family wedding. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious and the beds are fantastic - so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the service generally was excellent - the staff are all quite young, friendly and efficient. One of our party had a dress disaster on the day of...

Just got back from staying in The New Hobbit, not a bad word to say about it the rooms were a very good size, comfy bed, great bathroom facilities and incredibly clean. The staff were excellent, the bar stayed open till 2am for those of us that wanted a late night. We ate in the hotel the first night we...

Very friendly staff on arrival, lovely contemporary style pub. Great views and nice part of the world. Room was immaculate and great big bed! Food was excellent, both at dinner and at breakfast. Loved this place, real jewel. We stayed in Room 1 on Saturday night and really couldn't fault it, nor would want to, thank you for a great...

The hotel has most of the attributes to make this a good review, but unfortunately we arrived to find no heating. This seems to be an ongoing issue and not something they are trying to solve asap. A small heater did warm our room, but not the bathroom. Public spaces and hallways were chilly, and it was not a particularly...

Originally forgot to book us a room and luckily we called and they corrected the error. Room lacked, Heating , central heating faulty, given small ineffective fan heater. No tissues. Miniscule bathroom 6ft x 6ft, shower, squeeze past WC to get in, banged elbow when on WC, tiny sink just about wash your hands, couldn't swing a mouse round. No...

After an initial move due to lack of wifi in room and provision of a heater as the boiler was broken to part of the hotel we had a lovely stay- staff were so helpful, food in restaurant good and well priced. New rooms are being added so expect some disruption any technical problems should be resolved then hopefully.

Attended a wedding, the place is a little tired, and in need of a refurbishment. (windows dated, peeling paint, damp) An extension is being build at the present so this may be on the cards. The rooms were clean and tidy, the beds very comfortable, the staff friendly. The food on mass is always difficult, nice. Wheel chair access is limited,...
