We read the different reviews and so were not expecting the very pleasant surprise when we entered the pub. It was bright, clean and welcoming. Floris was behind the bar and after talking to her knew that she knew her trade well. The food was of a very high standard and well presented. The menue had something for everyone. Our...

This was the first time in years that we've been to the Racehorse great welcome and service but I was a little surprised by 2 things not a large choice of menu to choose from and we had the Sunday roast Beef and I really enjoyed it, my main gripe it was a few pence short of £14 for the...

Not a very extensive menu, so we settled for beer battered fish. Neither of us really wanted chips, so we asked if we could have some other sort of potato but were told no. The portions of fish, when they arrived, were very small. For the price, the whole meal was very disappointing. We paid and got out quickly.

Best meal at the Racehorse in over 10 years! Great welcome, great service, exciting menu and truly scrumptious food - innovative, fresh ingredients - well prepared, served hot and no coleslaw in sight!!! Things are really looking up for North Hill with Ray and Floris in charge - it's what we have been waiting for for years. I only hope...

We had arranged to meet some relatives while on holiday in Devon, they live in Cornwall so we agreed to meet half way! Launceston came up as equal distance for us all to travel. What a fantastic place and a great find! The Bar staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive, the lunch time menu was varied and offered lots...

I and my friend popped into the Racehorse for the first time last week (Saturday around 7PM) to see what it was like and to try new places, We where not disappointed at all. We parked in the back car park and walked in through the back to walk straight into the bar area and was greeted by the barman...

Popped in for something to eat, couldn't sit in the bar due to the quiz which is fair enough so went into the dining room to be met by quite a few flies buzzing around, not ideal so opted to sit outside which was very nice. However when our food arrived it was placed on the table by the waiter...

Found this pub by accident and what a find, staff very friendly and the bar lady certainly knew how to mix a proper G & T! The meal was first class, starter main and sweet, could not fault it. Not expensive either. Highly recommended!

The owner Ben and his mother are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They treat you like one of their family /friends and it is so refreshing. The rooms were lovely and clean. Room 1 has a shower only but it is a lovely size decorated in purple so if you fancy a bath like I did...
