My friend and I were working in the area this June/July and stayed at DQ on and off for weeks. The rooms were always clean and freshened, the meals delicious, and best of all, the San staff were friendly and always responsive to any request...More
You feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere and the stars at night confirm it. This is basic lodging at it's best. Solar powered so be aware that you'll likely get warm water when the sun is out and cold when it sets....More
The campsite and lodge is runned by the San people. They had a warm welcome when we arrived. The campsite is neat but the facilities are basic. But it all functions. We made use of the (buffet) dinner they serve. It all tasted good! We...More
My husband and I had a great time here. The San people are incredibly friendly. We learnt so much from them about plants and animals during the bush walk in the morning. This lodge is different from other lodges, since it is run and owned...More

The rooms don't have safes but a safe is available at the office for smaller things. The rooms don't have fans as we work on solar power and this does not allow for it but the rooms are large and generally quite cool. We do have mossie nets on the beds and laundry can be arranged with the staff, as long as there is enough turnaround time as we dont have tumble driers also due to the power situation.
I hope this helps.
