We initially booked for an overnight stay on the attached campsite but decided due to a change in circumstances that the location was perfect for visiting the many attractions around Normandy so increased our stay to seven nights. The site is well maintained and the toilet and shower facility is perfect. The amount of hot water meant that there was... More

I can only echo and amplify all of the others positive words. Hazel and Steve turned our three day trip to the D-Day beaches and Mont St Michel into the most pleasant three days we had on our road trip. Arriving after an 8 hour drive, we had booked dinner there. Hazel prepared a three course dinner with wine that... More

What a brilliant find! Le Clos Castel is a warm and friendly place. Hazel and Steve are extremely kind, thoughtful and hospitable. They endeavour to ensure that your stay is comfortable and homely. The rooms are well presented and comfortable. Hazel and Steve have a very good, detailed knowledge of the local area and its history. We had a wonderful... More

We booked this hotel based on location and reviews and were NOT disappointed. Hazel and Steve are delightful Brits who bought and refurbished an old country manor and we just loved it!!! The rooms are fairly spacious and clean, retrofitted with their own bathrooms. Hazel is an excellent chef and we LOVED our dinner there, which was 16.50 euros and... More

Easy to find. Very clean and the proprietors are originally British and very helpful and full of interesting stories about the area. Only disappointment was their breakfast which was sparse as only a few rolls and butter and jelly were served with coffee. Sure could have used a sausage or an egg or some cheese. Not an English breakfast, not... More

We will always stay here while in the area as it is a great place to stay. Excellent large rooms, clean and perfect bathrooms, comfortable beds and great breakfasts. You are close to the towns of Carentan and Periers but just enough outside to be able to sleep well with no noise or lights, a beautiful rural setting. Hazel and... More

We stopped off on our way from Calais to Brittany after spending a day at the Normandy D Day landing beaches. The hosts were most helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the bathroom was immaculate. Bedding and towels smelt lovely. Really impressed and such good value. A great start to our French holiday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed with Hazel & Stephen for D-Day week this year, both are very welcoming and pleasant people. Their property is beautiful and was perfectly situated geographically to everything we wanted to see. We got a fresh continental breakfast every morning which set us up for our busy days site seeing. Would highly recommend these guys if you are going... More

Myself and two friends stayed here just for one night on an impromptu trip to Normandy. We picked here based on location and previous reviews. To be fair the place exceeded my expectations as well as my friends. We stayed in a triple room, which was very comfortable and good value for money. The breakfast the next morning was brilliant...
