I travelled to the Rainforest Ecolodge in June 2016 with 2 of my friends. Since the resort lies deep in the rainforest it takes you some time to get there. But the view you get is astonishing. You get so see the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations wich was impressive. Arriving there we were greeted by the staff. The...

I have been to this extraordinary place with some friends after a round trip in Sri Lanka. Not only is the hotel it self at a really beautiful location but the scenic (very small) road through a vast tea estate is just breathtaking. Arriving we were warmly welcomed by the manager himself with a drink. The accommodations were separate lodges...

Starting with the hotel itself : the staff were absolutely delightful, excellent food, comfortable cabin (but vicious doors on the bathroom!!) and a lovely terrace where we sat at night listening to the cicadas and watching the fire-flies! The (walk) guides were excellent : we did two walks, and both guides were extremely knowledgable, and their ability to spot birds...

We spent two nights at The Rainforest Ecolodge and it was one of the most pleasant experiences we've had. You are surrounded by nature with your room standing few feet away from thick forest. Just a word of caution: the road to the hotel is quite steep. We took a Honda FIT Hybrid which barely made it to the top....

Although constructed from shipping containers this unique hotel offers an upmarket place to stay in a magical environment. All the rooms are separate lodges, luxuriously appointed with views across the rainforest. The main lounge area and restaurant are sited above the lodge areas with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The food is great and the staff very friendly and...

This is a great place to stay. The rooms(cabins) are so beautiful and comfortable. Even though there's no much of food selection, the food is delicious. Staff also helpful. There are like 6 trails you can go (guided by them), one of them have a real fish massage and beautiful waterfall which you can go to under it.

The location is excellent, For nature lovers this is a great place. As they have many nature trails to offer. But the trekking is not free and you will have to pay (Rs. 400 pp). The rooms are good and comfortable. There is no A/C in the room, due to the coldness of the area you can open up the...

Is a different experience. Excellent facilities given that all fitted inside a container cabin. Enjoyed the natural fish spa during the trail. Food was excellent. Team was excellent in taking good care of us. I will visit the place again.

The location of this hotel is absolutely breathtaking! you are looking out onto the sinharaja, and the view from the top is truly amazing. However, getting to the hotel is quite a tedious task up a very winding and a very narrow path. Luckily we didn't run into any trouble but if you, for instance, travel on a rainy day...
