This was our 2nd trip to Gwel An Mor, (first time was Christmas 2010), and our week in a VIP lodge was absolutely fantastic. We are a family of 5 with kids aged 17,9 and 8. We travel from the USA to stay close to my brother who lives in Portreath. The resort deserves its 5 star rating as the...

We have just stayed at this resort and was not disappointed, the lodge was beautiful. The facilities in the lodge and on the resort are wonderful, especially the Terrace Restaurant, the food was delicious and the staff very friendly as was the staff around the resort, especially micheal who helped me get my internet connection, and not forgetting Rachel on...

Just spent a week at The Residence and blown away by the quality of the resort, the attitude of the staff, but most of all the attention to detail. They just seem to have thought of everything, from how they welcome you, to the build quality of the new lodges in The Residence, arrangements for cycle hire, food deliveries, etc....

Having read previous reviews on Trip Advisor we were looking forward to our stay at Gwel An Mor and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was first class and our Lodge was very clean and tidy and going through to our kitchen we found many of the utensils/pots and pans etc were brand new always something that can be a...

Just came back from a week away here and couldn't fault it at all. When I read 5* I did not expect it to be as good as it was. We stayed in the tragea lodge which was big enough for 5 of us and a little one without being in each others way all the time. The bathroom and...

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend staying at The Residence. We had our own hot tub, located outside of the bedroom patio door, which was lovely. The lodge was fully equipped, we didn't need to bring our own washing up liquid, detergents, tea towels, towels etc and there were 5 * extra luxuries including a nice bottle of...

My family and I visited gwel an mor for a week and rented a 6 bedroom VIP lodge with hot tub. First impressions were that this lodge although nice does not warrant a 5 star rating. 1.The hot tub would only accommodate 2 people at a time and therefore we had to take it in turns to use which is...

Peppi, Thank you for taking the time to place a write up. Of course we were disappointed to read some of your comments, we never like getting an "average" feed back. The VIP lodges are approx 1000sq feet and are larger than most 3 bed homes, and are ample and spacious for 6 adults normally, with a double bedroom and...

For the second year running, we could not have been happier with our holiday at Gwel an mor. The lodges are spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could need. The staff go out of their way to be courteous and helpful, the food in the on-site restaurant is stunning and great value, and the gym and swimming pool are...

Jim, Awesome write up!! I will pass on your thoughts to Gary, but his head is getting a little large already! and to Barbara our head of housekeeping who will also be pleased to hear your comments. One of our party became Ill the day after we arrived (nothing to do with Gwel an Mor) and finished up in hospital) The staff and management couldn't have been more helpful. In life you only get what you pay for! This couldn't be more true, especially with Gwel An Mor with the family. If you pay a little more for quality, you get quality service. This was evident from Start to Finish, from every member of staff we spoke too. The check-in was smooth and immediately put a smile on our...
