I stayed for nearly 2 weeks at Turtle Bay whilst taking part in a yoga training. It was the most wonderful place to stay - every detail was perfect. Fantastic managers Mahesh and Sarath couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, and made sure that I was completely cared for throughout my trip. All of the staff were SO friendly,...

Having taken part in a Yoga Training Course, hosted at the beautiful resort, I was lucky enough to stay at Turle Bay for a period of almost two weeks. The service was flawless and so warming, with all the staff (from the cleaners, to the waiters, to the therapist and managers) taking great care me and my fellow Yoga Training...

This hotel is beautifully sighted... Right at the end of the world, overlooking the mot pristine and gorgeous beach that is several miles long, great for walking. This place was great for us -- a couple -- but also great for families. (There is a playground and hammocks and lots of activities to keep kids occupied). The service was absolutely...

Everything about this place was excellent, from the idealic location, to the excellent service and to the large and beautifully designed rooms. I really liked how the place was tastefully designed with thought going into all the details - such as the lights in the pool and the handicrafts in the rooms. I was impressed with the manager of the...

Turtle Bay is well out of the way. Down a bumpy road and near no shops at all. After 3 nights i did not want to leave. The pool was amazing especially at night with all its lights. It would have to be one of the coolest night pools ever. The rooms were basic but nice. The service was excellent...

Rooms large, lovely decorated and very clean!, balcony has a breathtaking view. The Management does not leave any request without a positive answer, always striving for you to feel at home - and you will feel at home, from the first moment you step into this hotel. The cooks are preparing the fresh catch of the day, or any lobster...

I like this little hotel. It isn't showy, or boutique, but it's done very well. The location is remote (although you can travel to see turtles, birds and stupas) and the view spectacular,; the rooms enormous, clean, stylish with fantastic views over the Ocean and the showers spacious. Wifi and hot water intermittent, and non-existent in our rooms (wifi strong...

We recently stayed at Turtle Bay on our trip to Sri this month (September 2014) although the hotel was clean and tidy and well maintained (with a beautiful pool and gardens) I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you are wanting to be very isolated. The hotel was far from Tangalle and also down a track from the...

Turtle Bay at Kalamatiya in the deep south of Sri Lanka is truly a hidden gem. This small, affordable, luxury boutique hotel is well suited to the traveler who is ecologically conscious while also requiring comfort and tranquility . There is a significant emphasis on the tasteful use of local natural materials throughout. Our family of three stayed there for...
