With a well crafted menu and a very pleasant setting this proved to be a good first visit to this refurbished hotel and bar. The food was very good and the service first class although a bit pricey for a bar meal perhaps.
The Copper Dog restaurant is great value with a good menu. Once you have had your meal, the whisky bar upstairs is a lovely place to indulge in one of the many malts on display with vastly knowledgable staff to help guide you in your...More
I had a meal here recently with three friends. The online booking was very simple and the menu had plenty choice with a variety of prices. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Although we had booked at least two weeks beforehand -a table for four...More
Absolutely stunning. Used the Itison voucher and were seated in the main bar with an astounding display of whiskys. The food was out of this world. Sandwiches were superb. Scones, warm and deliciously light with jam and cream. Carrot Cake and Lemon Drizzle moist and...More

the painting was not the problem for us , it was the poor attitude , road noise ( which cannot be avoided ) , the dirty rooms , restaurant and bar . We visited the Station hotel in Rothes at the weekend & the ambience , service & dining was of a far far higher standard . but if you book to stay book a suite towards the back as it is also on the road . The cooperage at Aberlour is definitely worth a visit & Glenfiddich visitor centre .. further afield Elgin Cathedral ( ancient ruins ) & Lossiemouth beach / walk to lighthouse is wonderful too . have a great trip .
