My friends and I were looking for a trekking guide to do Kalaw, Inlay lake. We had heard about the Golden Lily House for the trek so we went there and asked information. We had the chance to have Cindy, a wonderful lady who speaks really well English. So the trek is cute, quite easy and very entertaining. Cindy has...

Slept one night at Golden Lily and went on to trek for three days with Jungle King Trek – both are owned by the same very sweet family. The trek was absolutely amazing. I had lowered my expectations as people told me this trek ‘wasn’t quite like the Himalayas’. It might not be the Himalayas, but it is truly beautiful...

We did a 3-day trekking organized from Lily's guesthouse and it was really good! Regarding the guesthouse itself; guess there are enough reviews on that already, but the trekking was really good! We had a nice group of 8 people and an awesome guide Sanjay (Sunshine). His English was very good and he is real fun! Going to university tho...

When you get in Kalaw @ 3.40 am and the only person offering a room is from Golden Lily, you just go there. The whole room is taken up by the beds, very small and there's no window. The toilet it's horrible and the flush doesn't work and there's no bucket. It's simply disgusting.

Rooms without shower are not good. Toilet and shower are horribly dirty. Did daytrek with them. Guides did not speak English and very little food at lunch. They ripped me off for busticket to bagan. Paid 16.000 while it was 10.000 for that bus And the bus itself was horrible.

We arrived at Golden Lily at 5AM. We paid 7000 for the half-night, double room with shared bathroom w/o breakfast. Everything was pretty basic. The next night we paid 15 000 for the same room w/ breakfast. The price is fair for Myanmar but other travelers staying there at the same time paid the same amount and had a double...

If it wasn't that cold during the night, I would have preferred to sleep on the street. Nasty, dirty, awful place. No showers or anything, dirty bed sheets, stinky rooms, no hot water, no wifi. The only reason they get visitors is because they are awake and waiting for potential customers by the bust stop during the night.

I slept there for a few hours before go to my trekking and it was a terrible experience. The room was located close to the toilet so it stinks. It was very cold and seems to be dirty. Don't stay there!

We arrived at 2.30 am from Bagan and was looking for somewhere affordable to spend a couple of hours of sleep before our trekking. A man by the roadside led us to Golden Lily which was less than a 10-minute walk from the bus drop of point. The room was basic and the bathrooms were in a bad state. We...
