They got the best breakfast out there. The earlier u can wake up, the better it is! Rooms were quiet and a great place to take some rest. The toiletries there are cute! Plus, the thoughtfulness of them providing the umbrellas in the rooms during the rainy season was very appreciated.

This hotel is in a delightful setting with far reaching views of the valley and mountains.

The rooms are large and spacious with great balconies to enjoy the far reaching views and relax.

The breakfast was not ideal for me as a vegetarian, however my husband enjoyed his. The same could be said of the dinner options. The restaurant itself is spacious and a nice setting.

We chose to have a massage at the hotel, but is was the most expensive of our trip, even compared to luxury hotels.

However the team were extremely welcoming and professional, always a service with a smile.

We stayed for one night at this hotel in Feb 20 before visiting the Green Hill Valley Elephant camp. The room was really big with plenty of room for our cases and we had a balcony overlooking the garden with great views. The bed was a real kingsize and very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and lots of toiletries. There was an inroom safe. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean.
The breakfast was in a separate building through the garden and was buffet style with a selection of items to suit eastern or western tastes.
It is a 5/10 minute walk into the town from the hotel.

We had a nice room with a good view. There was an excellent breakfast. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I have only three criticisms. The heating in the rooms was inadequate for the cold nights when we were there in winter. Also, for some inexplicable reason, the shower drain was not in in the shower so the water tended to flood the bathroom. The location was up a long hill on a rough ill-lit road, making walking somewhat hazardous.

This is a lovely, well-run hotel. We stayed for 2 nights; our excursion was to the elephant camp, which the hotel was completely familiar with and helped us arrange transportation. The room was basic but spacious with an OUTRAGEOUS balcony and view. Breakfast was nice. Great kind friendly staff. Recommend highly.

Located just near the city clock tower and reachable to landmarks like old railway station by foot. Attached coffee bar is dreamy and pine trees along the entrance lane has good shades. Chef is skillful in various shan (traditional) menu and very teasty in different styles. Red mountain red wine (local product) can be comparable to standard french one. 3rd floor 401 is the best vewing the swimming pool and the whole city with the background of oh_si hill and palaung hills. Meeting room has standard facility. The best point is hotel being a pet friendly one.

We visited this hotel with a group. Some of the group had fantastic rooms with mountain view. Others only had garden view.
However all rooms was nice and spacy.
The restaurant serves very nice food.
A hint - there is a roof room if you follow the stairs all the way up. There is a small alter up here, but the fantastic thing is that you can see the mountains from up here, if your room does not have a view. It is very nice to watch the sun set and sun rise from here.

We stayed at Dream Mountain Resort on an escape from work in Yangon. It's great little boutique hotel tucked away on a hillside overlooking Kalaw. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony just watching the world drift by.

In terms of food, the breakfast was decent with Shan noodles and lots of fresh fruit and juice options. If you are up for dinner at a quirky but delicious local place, try the nearby New Simple Life Restaurant. Highly recommended!

Hi, when I was there, internet worked fine. Everything I needed in that respect, ingcluding normal hotmail, Facebook, etc seemed to be ok. Connection was a bit slow so no great for e.g. Videos, but I didn't go all that way just to watch cats on you tube!

Prettig verblijf in Kalaw!
