We booked a night at the hotel via booking.com. Hotel confirmed receiving the booking the previous morning but did not action it. Mistakes can happen we thought until someone else who happened to be at reception told us that exactly the same thing happened to them. Even that would not have been so bad if hotel staff had given any...

We recently visited the Sitwell for a wedding and stayed over night. The rooms were nice and clean but very dated. Problems we had were in regards to traveling with a 5 month old. We had to search for someone on reception to check in, the lady who came took my partner to the lift as the wedding reception was...

In all honesty this really should have been a five star review. On arrival we were informed of a complimentary upgrade which I was sceptical about until we reached the room when faced with a gorgeous four-poster bed, nice large room with seating area and a very efficient bathroom I immediately changed my mind and thought, "What a stroke of...

Uncomfortable bed, really loud due to other wedding party so didn't get much sleep, the bedrooms really need updating, tap on bath was so slow you would have waited a week to fill it.Wont be staying again.Breakfast was ok but would have been nicer to not be eating in a pub setting.

We attended a wedding reception here, and there was another going on at the same time. In its favour The car park is big and it is easily accessible as it is on a busy main road. The staff did their best. The service was very slow but that is probably because they were trying to cater for both weddings...

Really bad. Rooms need updating. Wedding party kept us up most the night. Bathroom was dirty. why do you have to have your breakfast in the bar when they have a good restaurant is beyond me. Sitting on a bar stool was not the way I wanted my breakfast. Was over charged for my room and when I pointed this...

Stayed for one night. We had pre-booked a while ago and when we phoned to reserve a table in the Wild Boar Restaurant (see separate review), we were told that we had been "upgraded"! Checked in at six p.m. and told that we were in The Renishaw Suite (room 32). After finding the unmarked door, we were totally surprised to...

Came here for a wedding. The wedding was lovely and they put on a lovely all day ceremony. The food was lovely, the set out was lovely and what a place to have some nice pictures taken! The rooms were standard which we didn't mind so all in all, a nice place to stay!

I stayed at the Sitwell Arms this week as I was on business in the area. I requested a ground floor room and was delighted to be given a spacious and very comfortable room fairly close to the main reception. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order, so of course took a little longer than a buffet - but well...

We visited the hotel for a charity function. It has a spacious bar and several function rooms. The service was ok if a little sporadic but the staff had a will to please and were nice and friendly. It is well located for junction 30 of the M1 motorway.
