We stayed here at the end of our Namibia self-drive holiday. As other reviewers have indicated you do need 4WD just to get up to the lodge but they provide a shuttle and sheltered parking at the bottom of the hill. The sunset walk (included) has wonderful views and there are early morning walks available (included) and an afternoon drive...

Cannot recommend this place more highly. Relatively easy access, only the last two hundred meters require a 4X4 but there's a car park for 2WD. The lodge is embedded in the valley between two inselbergs, in complete harmony with its natural setting. If you're interested in bird and mammalwatching, the lodge vicinity is the home of numerous species, many endemics...

We stayed here for the last two nights of an amazing holiday. We loved the tented accommodation, it was very clean and comfortable and well appointed. The food was beautiful, try the breakfast pancakes filled with fresh fruit. Staff were very attentive, especially Timmo. Having our gin and tonics round the outside fire was amazing.

I was lucky to visit this last location on my way out of Nam. The landscape is very different from what I have experienced to date. It is quite breathtaking. The property is tucked away into the boulders and is charming to say the least. The tents are extremely spacious and offer a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The...

There are lots of other wonderful places in Namibia to see wildlife. While not really designed for game viewing, Erongo Wilderness Lodge is a stunning place to relax, breathe and enjoy fabulous hospitality in amazing surroundings. Each room is a hugely luxurious and beautiful tent - the best tent you will have ever seen! - on a platform, built into...

Stayed here for 2 nights with our 6 year old son. Had an amazing time, from the Nature Drive, to the sundowner walk to the great food and wine! Such friendly staff all round, great to be so close to nature as well. The bird-life is amazing. The restaurant is extra special, with stunning views from all angles. Great place...

You must have a 4x4 for the way up to the Erongo Wilderness Lodge. The landscape is very impressive and the tents are beautifully embedded into the rose shining mountains. We were welcomed with a cold drink. The tents are very spacious: mosquito net, mini-bar, tea and coffee making facility. The bath is outside, but nobody could see insight. The...

We stayed here to break our trip from Etosha to Swakopmund and sadly only booked one night. The accommodation is discreetly built into the mountain side. Good service from everybody and I managed to 2 guided walks. An interesting place to explore with a tranquil atmosphere.

We spent two nights at Erongo on the way from Etosha to Solitaire, and it truly felt like stepping sideways out of the rest of the world. You need a 4x4 to drive up to the entrance (or park lower down and catch a ride), and the tented lodges are sited in a valley between three towering koppies that is...
