I was taken here by an Investment company of whom I am a client. The restaurant and bar areas are very tastefully decorated. The dinning room is in a 'vintage' style. The atmosphere was great for lunch but could also be great for dinner when the lights are lower. I had a simple steak ciabatta with an onion marmalade. I...

We have recently stayed here for a couple of nights, the hotel is nice and the room was lovely at first glance but definitely not worth the money. The pillows where like wafers and old and when asked for more we were told they only had one spare????? Not sure why. The bed wasn't great and the mattress kept slipping...

Dear Jen0785, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to The Mytton and Mermaid Hotel. We are delighted that you enjoyed our restaurant but are disappointed regarding your feedback of our bedroom. It does seem we have fell short of our normal high standards, with reference to service and replenishing of the room. Your insight will...

We'd stayed for just two nights at this hotel which is right next to the River Severn but they were worth it and it's a shame we couldn't stay longer. The room was small along with the bathroom but we had a comfortable bed an a fairly nice view of Attingham Park entrance though over the main road. The hotel...

I stay in Shrewsbury fairly regularly on business and this hotel tends to be my preferred choice. Comfortable bar area and restaurant serving good quality food and choice of real ales. Service is usually friendly and efficient. The (single) rooms I have stayed in are mostly very good although on occasions can be let down by minor niggles - the...

Our second stay at this hotel. Lovely location on the banks of the river Severn, easy to find and to get around for days out. Stayed each time in a superior sized room in the "turret"; quiet, nice view of the river from the window. Decor is more "old country house", rather than new and modern, reflecting the age /...

After being recommended I was very disappointed The restaurant was really cold during our evening however that was the least concern in the end! My room was in the cottage outside with poorly lit and uneven pathways to get to it on a cold night not pleasant at all. The girl who showed me to the room promptly left me...

We stayed here for one night. We were shown to our room (through the bar lounge area), which was not in the main hotel but in an annex outside, by a courtyard. The room was small with large, bulky items of furniture in it making it appear even smaller. The bed was almost touching the wardrobe and just a few...

To begin this review I'll outline the positives. This hotel offered a very warm and cosy room, friendly service and some good dining. Our arrival and check in was straight forward as you'd expect however it's slightly odd being led through the main dining area and bar with all your luggage whilst being shown to your room. Nothing like a...
