Detailed Reviews
In this day and age it is difficult to find a place whilst working away from home were you feel at the end of a long day and in the middle of winter you are able to find peace and quiet and as a female safe and sound. A hotel is quite often noisy an apartment over priced . the coaching barns slides in between the two and in an excellent way. The barns themselves are located in a courtyard that has security lights at night , parking directly outside the door and a pub a stones throw away.
The barns have been renovated to a very high standard, well put together and thoughtful, a large bed, an fabulousnd a bathroom, heating that actually works unlike some other establishments, a bonus fridge in the cosyl entrance lobby, in addition their is excellent space to hang clothes, bits and bobs as well as a good range of complimentary tea, coffee .hot chocolate and biscuits (yum yum)
the room itself is like a mini self contained apartment their are plates and cutlery supplied to eat in. i must say the one and only itiem that may be useful is a small microwave but certainly not a deal breaker.
It is so comfortable and relaxing in fact you could use the barns for work, leisure or just a night away, the who e place is relaxing, safe and very good value in an over crowded and over priced market, well done coaching barns , take my hat off to you.

I turned up a little earlier here than expected after a long bike ride to get here. Upon calling to see if I could check in early I was more than accommodated, they even provided somewhere secure to lock up my bike and helped me to carry my kit to the room all without being asked.
The room itself is well appointed, warm and cosy and Wem is a lovely village, would highly recommend.

The property is in a great location and close to RAF shawbury which is what we wanted it for. It was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. The communication with the owners was excellent and check in/top up of anything we needed was very easy. Couldn’t recommend this property more! There is also a lovely pub opposite that has a beautiful garden and friendly staff, this is also recommended for a visit.

We came and stayed on a Friday and Saturday evening, they let us check in very early as we had travelled a long way and were heading out early to see family. The rooms are lovely and it’s a good location. There is a pub next door but we were not disturbed once by any noise. We had a lovely stay and would definitely be back. Thank you!

The old converted barns are very comfortable and clean. They are centrally located near the main street and a short walk from the supermarket. It's a bit different than a hotel, as their is no regular cleaning service, but if you need any supplies you can let them know.

A really well designed space and great value. It's also well located - a bakery, several pubs, cafes and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away. It's next door to a lively pub, but the noise was very contained and didn't affect our sleep. Great shower too. We were walking the Shropshire Way - this was a perfect overnight stopover.

Not one for writing a bad review but I want to warn people for future bookings. We booked 4 rooms as 9 of us were attending a wedding close by. 4 days before we were due to check in the money hadn’t been taken. After calling we were assured the reservation was still there and the money should be collected in the next day or so. 2 days later the money still hadn’t been collected and when we called back again we was told the booking had been cancelled and someone else had made a reservation and there was nothing they could do.
There was no solution from the hotel at all apart from being advised to book somewhere else. This would then split the party up and cost over double to amount. At first Jackie i think her name is was apologetic but then gained a lot of attitude and was pretty rude about the situation.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here in Wem. Such a lovely little room and en-suite. Couldn’t fault it!
A few little shops and places to eat in Wem but a very easy journey by train or car into Shrewsbury.
100% recommend for a lovely few nights away.

Stayed here on way home following overnight flight. The pub is close by but considering it was a Saturday night we didn’t hear much noise. The pub itself doesn’t do meals but hosts advise on best places to eat nearby. There are also local takeaways and restaurants. Comfortable rooms and would definitely use again if passing through.
