We had a weekend golf break playing both courses. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, warm, well equiped, comfortable although the plumbing could do with with an overall. The courses are well worth playing - lots of different challenges. Greens were first class. The championship course is long and when we were there very wet...

This was at the Hawkestone Follies Building. The staff hygiene standards and attention to reasonable food and beverage detail requirements were appalling and likely to cause food poisoning. 3 young ladies and one middle aged lady. My food was distinctly out of date. Sugar containers were discoloured polluted, Storing what appeared to be bread in the ice cream container, removing...

Just got back from staying for 2 nights. This hotel is very popular with golfers as it has its own golf course, although I do not play golf this did not interfere with our stay. The hotel its self is rather run down and old fashioned but we were made to feel welcome. Breakfast was ok but good value for...

This is hotel associated with the golf course. Most of the people staying were golfers. Most guests were elderly groups and accordingly room decoration is slightly out of date and needs modernisation. Some of the rooms and toilets are modified for disabled users. Somehow, this felt more like a hospital room to me. Staff was helpful generally, restaurant food was...

Staff made our wedding run without a hitch, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was superb, beef was so tender and the profiteroles were to die for! Jo and Richard deserve an extra mention. They were professional at all times but helped us whenever we needed anything. Thank you so much

Family lunch for Mother's Day Food was lovely. Serving staff were friendly. Initial service was very slow but appreciate that it was busy. Organisation of staff was poor, staff were not entering other peoples' sections at times when they should have been supporting one another. Meet and greet lady was very unwelcoming!!!!! She didn't smile, show interest, greet appropriately, talk!!!!!...

The hotel is a little tired but the staff are excellent and the food is great. The golf is good but the Hawkstone course was my favorite as some of the championship holes were very long. The golf bar was freezing cold and beer is expensive as is the pro shop shame as this spoils the experience. All in all...

Just returned from a two night break at the Hawkestone park hotel and must say it was great. The hotel is in a wonderful part of the country which is a great base for exploring Shropshire and over the border into Wales. The staff were fabulous and very welcoming, all though it was quiet in the hotel the food served...

Good hotel even though some of the buildings are a bit tired looking. Mainly golfers hotel, with golf courses on door stop. We were not staying for golf break but this didn't stop us enjoying our night away. Staff very friendly and helpful, nice evening meal and even nicer breakfast. It's not a five star hotel but they don't charge...
