The hospitality was excellent, as were the rooms, service, breakfasts and food available in the evening via the freezer and honours bar. I felt welcomed and looked after, and of course, the sunset across False Bay and Table Mountain was amazing. If I return to Cape Town, I shall certainly want to stay at Bergen en Zee in Gordon's Bay.

Stayed here for 3 nights from July 23-25. We had no idea what to expect since the accommodations were part of a package paid for on a bigger trip and we were not familiar with the area. The place is amazing. We had 2 couples in our group and were given the top floor. Rooms were spacious with king beds,...

I made the reservation by phone the day before and was advised that for the best sea view I should take a double room on the top floor rather than the family room on the lower floor which was marginally cheaper - We were thrilled on arrival not just with the size of the room (it is spacious and airy)...

It's really worth doing research on TripAdvisor before booking accommodation. But even then one can be impressed beyond expectations. This is what happened to us with this jewel in Gordon's Bay. We have just spent four glorious nights at Berg en Zee and there is quite frankly nothing that we can fault with this superb guest house. The room was...

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hands-on manner of the owner contributes to their success. The breakfast was scrumptious and an extra bonus were some hot, fresh...
