We stayed 1 night at the Old Trafford Lodge in November to watch Man Utd at Old Trafford Football ground. We found the hotel to be excellent in every way and would definitely return there. Things that are good: Helpful, friendly staff that deal promptly and efficiently with queries Close proximity Old Trafford Football ground, easy walking distance and safe...

I thought I could treat myself to a deluxe balcony room for this one night business stay. Staff are great, location great. But, this is just a set of cricket boxes dressed as a hotel and should not be trading as a hotel. When I got to my room at 11pm I could hear the bloke on one side snoring...

Stayed here for one night for £95, had a room overlooking the cricket pitch. Clean room , terribly underpowered shower, continental breakfast. Very little to report about this place as it is about as average as you can get. Apart from you get woken by the sound of drilling & hamering by workmen. Clean . Basic

Lovely hotel!!! Stay here quite often when visiting Manchester . Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Only breakfast served, but most welcome to have takeaways delivered to your room or reception to eat at the tables downstairs. Free car parking as most hotels charge you for hotel car parking.

I booked used Lastminute.com, as I usually stay at the Campanile in Manchester but wanted to see if I could get something that was a little better for the right price. The reception staff were very welcoming and when I realised I had booked a twin instead of a double, changed it immediately. There isn't really anywhere to eat easily...

We stayed overnight for 1 night in an "executive" room - this just means you overlook the cricket pitch not the car park and have a balcony, The room was basic but clean - fine for an overnight stay although we could hear everything in the next room. Parking was free and the continental breakfast was OK,

The Old Trafford Lodge is fair value for money. The rooms are modern and clean, the bathrooms are functional (shower but no bath) - all pretty new and all with the facilities you'd expect. I found staff friendly and helpful. They do not do lunch / dinner so you'll need to either order out or get in to town (10...

I took my son to the tour of Old Trafford (MUFC) and we stayed at the Old Trafford Lodge for one night. Great experience and a lovely clean room which faced the famous cricket pitch. Staff were really helpful and demonstrated true Manchester hospitality. The breakfast was continental but still had plenty of choice. We'd certainly stay here again and...

“If you are visiting to watch cricket, ask for an executive room facing the ground and as far away from the pavilion as possible. This way, you will get an uninterrupted view of the game. We usually ring well in advance and ask for a twin room, either 16, 15 or 14, on the first floor.”
