We had so much help from Marina san in arranging our stay albeit for one night, both with travel possibilities and places to ear. We were rather worried about sleeping as it was so cold but Marina had thought of everything and we were super warm with a hot water bottle that stayed warm all night. The paper walls were...

Lovely place-a traditional building that was restored as a guest house. Friendly and helpful owner and well suited for back packers with a kitchen, laundry facilities. Quiet town with not much open at night and guest house asks for lights out at 11pm as walls are paper only. Was lovely, the only (BIG) disappointment was how early and how noisy...

Thank you for staying with us! We are very sorry that the other guests on that day were very noisy from very early in the morning. We didn't realize that, so we couldn't stop them, neither. We are very sorry for that. We will improve to present proper attention to our guests. Thank you again for coming to Suzaka!

I had chosen this guesthouse purely on the reviews on Tripadvisor and after our long train journey and 15 minute walk from the station I was hoping that we would not be disappointed. We most definitely weren't. Marina a genuinely nice person. She has the ability to make you feel at ease straight away, which is probably why her friends...

This was a last minute booking as it was Golden Week in Japan. I took the night on offer and only wish I had a longer stay. Marina and Taka looked after me and introduced me to new friends Osamu and his wife Kaoru. Osamu played guitar and sang for 4-5 of us , his wife supplied a platter of...

Myself and a friend came to Nagano simply to see the Snow Monkeys, we had one night available and so chose Guest Hiuse Kura because it was located between Nagano and the monkey park. On arriving we were warmly welcomed by the absolutely wonderful host Marina! She orientated and explained the local area to us, and the best ways/times to...

The Guest House KURA in Suzuka is a small cozy guest house. The rooms are typical Japanese style and you sleep in proper style on a futon. And you can sleep very well !! The staff is helpful, friendly and always cared for the well-being of guests. The toilet is convenient, as is the shower. A small Japanese-style garden is...

My mum and I stayed at Guesthouse Kura in the private room which had its own sitting room! The guesthouse is so cute with a charming cafe at the front and once you get oriented the walk to the station down the old street is charming. We reached Suzaka in a rainy day. The road and the housing area were really quiet that we thought there's no one living there? Lol. Finding the guesthouse is quite challenging in the rain + quite area + dark sky. There were really few people on the road I tell you! Hahah. Anyway, the very few people whom we met...

This guesthouse is really lovely and the owner, Marina, makes sure your stay is as perfect as can be. Very happy to have been recommended this place to stay at! I lost the way looking for the guesthouse. It was quite late and it was raining so I wasn`t really in a good mood. My mood instantly changed when I stepped into the guesthouse.
