I woke up this morning to find Storm Doris had paid a visit overnight. The hotel was very helpful in getting me to the station in their Land Rover. The night before I really enjoyed the perfectly cooked steak in the bar and the piping hot beautiful big chips. All washed down with some nice house wine. The room was...

Having not stayed here for a long time, I thought I'd try once more. The hotel hasn't changed over the years and the rooms are beginning to look a little dated. The room I had was in the main building and it was very spacious. The bed was firm but okay, pillows also okay. The shower however was almost unusable,...

Thank you for your kind feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed your meals with ourselves and that your room was clean and comfortable. Apologies the décor was not to your liking. All our showers adjust manually to allow guests to have the correct temperature that they desire, this is the case with the shower that was provided. I did...

Absolutely brilliant food and extremely inexpensive at £20 per person, considering most places were closed! Steak pie is definitely a must and sticky toffee pudding was an absolutely perfect end to the meal! Service was superb and staff nice and pleasant!!

Went today for an unexpected lunch & had a fabulous steak sandwich. Really tasty with lovely salad & coleslaw. Good prices & service. The bar has a nice atmosphere & is warm & cosy. Would definitely recommend.

We used to visit and stay at this hotel many years ago when we always found it a decent experience, however how things have changed. The food in the main restaurant was bland, tasteless and lacking any flavour what so ever. The service was so despite it being almost empty. Oh dear what a disappointment.
