Most friendly and helpful General Manager John Dinsmore. Lovely, Scenic and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more helpful as we were a walk in without a booking late afternoon. He ensured we had a sea facing room with 360 vistas. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish and...

We had a really great stay in this beautiful hotel. The word "Lookout" describes the location very well. Awesome view to either the ocean or for example some monkey in the trees. The host was so gentle in every way. He helped us booking a great ATV tour and in the restaurant we got perfect tasty breakfast and dinner. I...

My wife and I stayed two nights at Hotel Lookout. The hotel sits at the top of a hill with a very steep, long and rock (not stones) road. We wondered where in the world this treacherous road was leading. We booked a deluxe room, but soon realized that the room didn't have air conditioning or a tv. The owner...

Although we were there for just one night, we would have gladly stayed longer had our plans permitted. The views are spectacular and the accommodation was first rate. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Our included breakfast was tasty and filling and a great start to the day. We WILL stay here again!

Hello and Thank you! We work hard to make our breakfasts filling and delicious. After all, you probably have an active day of birding, ziplining, snorkeling, surfing, ATVing, hiking, horseback riding, massages, and more. The first course is always a round of fruit and yogurt (we make our own yogurt!), followed by a hot meal (examples include Banana Pancakes, Huevos...

This is a beautiful hotel, set up in the hills. From most of the rooms you have a clear view of the ocean. The grounds are lush, especially in rainy season, with flowers and trees everywhere and lots of birds around! The staff was excellent! Breakfast was good but simple. Dinner was excellent. Just two things that would make this...

I appreciate your comments! Our breakfasts (served 7am-9am) are 2 courses; first fruit and our homemade fruit yogurt, followed by a hot entree (typically huevos rancheros, veggie omelets, banana pancakes, or Gallo Pinto.) Hope to welcome you back soon. The coffee service for early risers is a great idea.

I can't say enough about this place. It has stunning views and the staff is very accommodating. John was a great host. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pathway is lit at night to all of the cabinas and there are motion lights at each cabina.

The hotel is very pretty, pets are welcomed so I travelled with my dog (a bonus) The views are beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The food is good although they don't have many options. Excellent price and very nice pool. I would stay again and recommend it to others

Experience the feeling of "ahhh..." when you are greeted by John (manager) or one of his accommodating staff. We could not take our eyes off of the amazing views from the moment we arrived. On the property we discovered so much wild life; two kinds of monkeys, parrots, toucans, beautiful butterflies, just to name a few. Plan to indulge in...

So many things I love about Hotel Lookout! The abundance of wildlife is amazing--from the squawking Scarlet Macaws (Lapas) to the gossipy little green Lora parrots, the calls of the howler monkeys (Mono Congos) to the sounds of the waves below on Tortuga Beach. We look forward to welcoming you again!

The manager(John) was very accomodating and friendly to us. The rooms were nice, with great ocean views. The food was excellent. It's worth it to go eat at the restaraunt, even if you don't stay overnight. The pool was perfect for my son, who is still learning to swim, yet big enough for adults to swim in too. We felt...
