I was absolutely blown away by my experience at Playa Viva. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, rejuvinating yoga and massages, individualized options for various adventures, AMAZING food and the friendliest service I have ever encountered. My husband and I are very picky eaters and look for organic, high quality food. The chef was amazing and the options and... More

This beachfront property cannot do enough to convey its offerings. It would be impossible to promote an experience where you have all the luxury you could ever need (brand new lodging, impeccably clean facilities with round the clock upkeep and yes brand new clean bathrooms) with all the escape you could ever imagine. When Wednesday goes like this: wake up... More

If you want to shed your regular routine, fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, eat delicious organically grown and home cooked gourmet food, help new born turtles make it safely to the ocean, swim in the salt pool by the ocean at night, enjoy smores by the bond fire and get some yoga and massages in between.....then this... If you want a true experience of getting away from it all - Playa Viva is the place to go! We went with a 15yr old, 14yr old and an 11yr old with the intent of disconnecting to reconnect. We arrived phone and computer free and the experience would have been EVEN better, if all the other guests had done... More

We’ve been home from Playa Viva for 2 weeks now. I’m starting to wonder if it was a dream… Did we really spend 5 days lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean each night, after eating deliciously prepared, fresh food for every meal? Did we really release newly-hatched baby turtles onto the beach each evening? Did I really... More

To find the place was a bit hard, it is far off from everything, and eventually that turned out to be the best thing. There is pick up and drop off offered, take advantage of it, because they know their way around. The beautifully and sustainably designed hotel with several different room options is right by the long stretched beach.... More

Our family of four - including boys 11 and 15 - just spent a wonderful week in Playa Viva. What we found was the ideal combination of memorable activities and simply doing 'nothing at all'. The 'nothing' included endless hours of reading, playing in the ocean (warm), cooling off at the pool, visiting with the few other guests and delicious... More

Playa Viva exceeded our expectations in every way. We wanted somewhere warm, relaxed, rejuvinating, family friendly, and a bit unique to provide a break from the harsh Boston winter. We found that and so much more at this resort. From the minute we arrived at Playa Viva we were treated warmly by all the staff. They were accomodating and helpful-... More

We had a wonderful week long stay at Playa Viva. It was easy to get to by air via ZIH airport. A friendly staff member was waiting with a biofueled van (part of the eco conscience of Playa Viva) to drive us the 45 minute trip to the very secluded resort. Once there we were treated to a "pampered eco... More

Playa Viva is so romantic and peaceful that when we first arrived with our three children aged 6 to 9, I was afraid we would be disrupting the serenity for everyone else. But the incredibly warm and friendly staff, not to mention cheerful and relaxed guests, quickly put us at ease. When we saw our rooms, our kids exclaimed it... More
