We spent one night in the posada. Given the limited time that we had, we wanted to arrange the boat trips and other activities straight away after we arrived. Hugo, the owner of the place, listened to what we wanted to do and said he would organize everything for us. He also offered to drive us to the information center...

Outstanding hospitality, wonderful hosts and good cooks, Hugo was most obliging, offering to drive us to various birding spots around ibera at only the hours birdwatchers would request, bikes available for cheap rental too. Great value and homely accomadation, couldn't recommend highly enough!

One of the best things about staying at the Posada El Yacare is the fact that you get to meet Hugo and his wife Myrta. Hugo's family has lived in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini for over 100 years and to say that he knows the area is an understatement. When he found out that we loved bird watching, he took us...

I booked via the web, the photos dishonestly present the posada. The owner tried to take a cancellation fee for my rejection of their misrepresented property. I came in good faith on the basis of the reviews, but this posada offers tiny rooms, no back up power generation, no working door locks. I paid out 100 pesos for the use...

From Mercedes we came here by 4 wd car. This is a very quiet place, where the animals are everywhere. they are not realy avoiding the people. We have seen a lot of nature. The owner of our lodge was very helpfull. We booked our trip on lancha there. We had even our cloths washed for e few pesos. They...

I stayed here last September. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable (heater/ airco available) The charm of this place are the owners, Hugo and Myrta, and the small town feeling. If you tell Hugo what you would like to do, he will make a phonecall to a son, naber of friend to make it happen. They invited me...

The people that work here are very nice. We had a fairly hard time trying to figure out what was going on though because our Spanish is very limited. They can organise trips for you but you never really know what you're going to get. There are 2 boat rides, a horse trek and a night time guided walk. We...

Small, family run posada in Pellegrini, where they go out of their way in helping you make the most of your trip to see the Estero del Ibera. Nothing fancy, but clean rooms, comfortable, quiet, made for a great visit. Stayed two nights, and would go back again. They're building a pool in the back, and should be ready in...
