We had an ocean view room on the 6th floor overlooking the town and the harbour. We could see the O-Tori gate just. It was to the left of the hotel. Room clean but dated in furnishings. Wifi very good, Could drink the water. Bathroom had separate shower and separate toilet so made it easy for more than two persons.... More

This was very much a real ryokan and seems to be looking to Japanese clientele. It is an easy five minute weak from the ferry terminal and it is an easy stroll from the ryokan down to the main areas. I had a rather nice room with a very pleasant view over the town to the bay. The evening meal,... More

I choose this hotel in a rush after deciding to sleep in miyajima and not in Hiroshima. usually I give goods reviews because I do a lot of research before. being spontaneous did not pay off. I did not like this hotel at all. the room smells, the carpets in the hotel and the corridors were seemed dirty. not recommended.

Very good hotel, close to the ferry stationa nd the main street. Traditional rooms very spacious. Onsen very much appreciated. Traditional breakfast with tons of things to eat but that typical that occidental people can face difficulties to eat.. No wifi in the rooms but the lobby one works well. Very expensive.

Terrible smell in the room, from the floor (also said by other tourists). It depends by the wet into the structure. We didn't sleep all the night. The hotel is expensive as all the isle, but don't come here. The Makodo staff was very kind but it's not enough.

Luckily we were aware of the building works before our stay so were prepared. Staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very clean and much bigger than we expected. We had walked to the hotel in 30c plus temps with bags, it was hot! There is a free pick up service ( don't know why we decided to... More

Ncely away from noisy tourists but convenient for all you need. Surrounded by beautiful pines, this really is a nice place to stay. Inexpensive but very well run. The meals are great and, the staff very helpful and kind. A perfect place for a couple of nights stay.

Room was spacious but bit tired. We took the breakfast plan - this was served in the restaurant - miso soup was wonderful - we had a huge pot between the two of us. Everything was adequate. Hotel located near to village centre.

We stayed for one night in our three weeks trip around Japan. The rooms are very outdated plus the service is not as good for Japanese standards. They couldn't serve us breakfast and even recommended a below average restaurant for dinner. There's better accommodations in the island...

The hotel had really big rooms, which I believe are designed for at least 4 people staying in them. The public bath was nice, and it had a cool atmosphere to it. Nothing more special about it. I REALLY suggest for you to buy some food you can take with you to Miyajima if you plan to stay there for... More
