Lovely lodge with extremely friendly staff and locals, perfect for couples or small family's. Restaurant food was very good and the staff are very attentive. Great beer garden. The stay was very chilled and I'm very likely stay again.

Stayed at Eskdale recently with friends. Lovely venue with nice clean rooms, good facilities, great bar and restaurant. But the thing that stood out for me was the excellent service from their very friendly and accommodating staff. Great value too. Much better than staying in a soulless chain hotel.

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting family. Plenty of parking space. The en suite room we had was very clean and a good size with tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi, a bottle of water, biscuits and mints, flat screen TV. Breakfast is excellent as are the evening meals. The staff are extremely helpful.

The breakfast, served in a wood-panelled restaurant, was excellent, as was the service. In fact all the staff I came across were pleasant and helpful. On the morning of my departure I was shown the underground bar,...

This was a good last minute decision for us, much...much better than one of those "no face" airport hotels we didn't eat but the food looked delicious, the welcome was warm & lively in the bar which was as full of regulars as strangers but everybody was made to feel at home, would use this place again in a heartbeat...
