I love Kinosaki and I enjoyed my stay at Shinonomesou. It was not my first choice, but I didn't regret it. The place was easy to find, on a side street of Kinosaki, very near to many of the public bath houses (just get a map from the tourist office). It's a 10min leisurely walk from the train station. I...

Surely great Ryokan with superb service, they allow us to check in early and although none of them speak good English, they still make their effort to use a translator apps to communicate with us. Located within walking distance from train station, and although the ryokan located at one of the small road (not the main road), it's only take...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shinonomeso in the town of Kinosaki and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than two days. There are a half dozen indoor and outdoor hot springs with very clean facilities, a beautiful stretch of cherry trees (in April) or willows (spring through autumn), rope way / funicular ride and a basalt...

I've stayed in a number of Ryokan over the years, and enjoyed the pace and informality compared to more expensive places. It could be a bit cleaner here and there (by Japanese standards) but it was a good stay. We had a very nice (new) tatami/Japanese family room on the 1st floor which had a private bath. We ate in...

For your traditional experience in a hot spring bath town, this is a great bet. You'll sleep on futon in a tatami room and feel free to wear a yukata. Good place to base your tour of the town's baths.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a blast. The room is very typical Japanese tatami. The staff came in to set up and put away the tatami daily. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a bigger room during the weekday and changed back to a smaller room during the weekend. It was a bit inconvenient but totally...

We read the previous review then decided to book the hotel from japanhotel.net and she was right. The site answered my questin promply and i was able to book the ryokan only with crab dinner! and we got every penny worth the money. We got to kinosaki from osaka and the scenery was beautiful! a lot of sakura along the...

This is our first time at a traditional ryokan and we simply fell in love the moment we arrived. Although the owner and staff spoke very limited English, they made us feel special and tried their best to make our stay as enjoyable, comfortable and memorable as possible. They offer free pick up once we informed them of our arrival...
