After our visit to Bath we took a Sunday morning stroll and went in to the George Inn for a warming Coffee. We were warmly greeted by the staff and by a lovely roaring fire. And the smell that our more mature readers will remember. Somewhat different to some of this Inns past history in the times of the Duke...

The George is centrally located in Norton St Philip and is very close to Bath. I absolutely love the building, which was built in the 14th & 15th centuries. I paid £10 extra to stay in the spacious Monmouth Room, which had a big comfortable bed, 2 sofas, lots of wooden beams and paneling, and medieval wall paintings! The bar...

Transport to and from bath can be a bit tricky in the winter time but any inconvenience is more than compensated for by this lovely hotel and the quietly efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended as a change from staying in the centre of busy tourist towns.

It went downhill from there.....the service was atrocious, particularly one girl who was unbelievably rude. We were waiting for another member of...

Very pleased with the room and breakfast. The family had a great time and were comfortable. It's worth paying extra and getting the bigger rooms. The hotel is easy to get to from Bath. I am likely to use this place again.

I adore The George. My partner and I have stayed there several times and absolutely adore it! The coach room is utterly beautiful (I'm getting better at not hitting my head on the ceiling!) The staff are always wonderful and I'll definitely be back soon!

There's no doubt by staying at this stunning 700 year old inn that you feel you are part of its wonderful history. If like me you have a love for old buildings that transport you back in time then this is a must visit! We stopped in the Samuel peppes room that was elegant and romantic with its four poster...

Stayed for one night in the Hinton Room at The George Inn. Excellent clean spacious room with walk in shower, a perfect room for the family. The food at the George is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend.

An exceptionally good location and facilities at The George Inn. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Very comfortable rooms, excellent food and not over attentive staff but just the right balance.
