We are a family of four with kids aged 10 & 9 - getting a family room with space can be difficult as well as expensive. Therefore we found the George Inn and Plaine a really cost effective and comfortable way of staying near Bath. The room we stayed in was the Hinton - the room is spacious - my...

Stayed here as attending a wedding just up the road. Lovely place! I had the Wells room on the ground floor and I cannot fault the room! Spacious, light and airy. Bed very comfortable indeed. Breakfast is taken over at The George, a buffet of cereals, yogurt, fruit and pastries and then a hot menu cooked to order. Delicious! Would...

We booked to stay at the Plaine as we were attending a wedding just up the road, what a treat. The room was lovely and it is associated with the George Inn across the road which is 700 years old and full of character. We were treated very well by all the staff who couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast...

Initially tried to book at The George Inn but advised it was full. They offered a room here as they also take the bookings. We were not disappointed! The ground floor room looked across to the George and it was lovely, newly decorated, nothing to complain about, and the shower was fantastic!! We had dinner that evening across at The...

Recently renovated, to a high standard, in conjunction with the George and the fleur de lys, an overall fantastic stay, very clean room, everything you would expect from a guesthouse, food was great, not one problem with our stay, very very nice and helpful staff, couldn't have done more for us, everything is a very close driving distance, bath not...

We had the misfortune to be allocated the two ground floor double rooms. The good - fluffy white towels and linen . That's it !!! The bad and ugly - Filthy carpets, mould growing on the inside of the antiquated double glazed windows, shower in one room not working , inadequate lighting , rising damp evident all over building ,...

Stephanie was warm and helpful, giving us solid advice and clear directions to where we wanted to go. There were two pubs on the same intersection as the guesthouse. The bathroom was clean, the beds comfortable. Breakfast was good, and served in a cozy dining room. This is a very old house, and I wouldn't recommend it for people with...

Travelling with 2 small kids is not always easy, but the owners made us feel very welcome and the boys were well catered for. The building and rooms have loads of character and are very well maintained and impeccably clean and tidy. The breakfast is homely and can be tailored to your tastes. Its also refreshing to be offered top...

This was a nice B&B only about 9 miles from Bath. We had a family room for 2 aduts and 2 children, given this the room was a little small. Breakfast was good, but a bit restricted, if you ordered just sausage and eggs for example you still only got 1 sausage and 1 egg!

We were recommended this b&b by the George Inn across the road and we thought it was fantastic. When we arrived we were greeted by Giles who showed us to our gorgeous bedroom, with beautiful furniture and a four poster bed. We went across to the George for a beautiful meal. We were given a key to the front door,...
