This hotel has been modernised to a very high standard, the rooms were spacious and very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The views from the balcony were great and it was very peaceful. There was plenty of free parking, and a lovely garden. There was an upstairs outdoor area where you could relax with a cool beer or... More

Hotel has good but small rooms. Right in the heart of Frieburg. Owner give you a very warm welcome and helpful. Hotel owner greets you with candies and travel passes for public transport. Nice Breakfast buffet in the morning

I arrived with 3 other friends on a motorcycle trip to the Black Forest. It was clear that our approach wasn't silent, because one of the hotel staff was outside immediately and directed us to park securely in a garage on-site. Great start! My room was in the second floor facing the front. It was hot/humid during our 3 nights... More

Hotel Schwarzwälder Hof is situated in 10 minutes walking from the centre of Achern. It has 20 rooms. The overall impression is that of a hotel which is well maintained and clean. A relatively narrow room on the 1st floor was given to us at our arrival. It has queen size bed. As we are an elderly couple and no... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Schwarzwalder Hof early in October. The room was neat and well furnished. The beds were firm and comfortable. We had no problems with the provided free Wi-Fi. The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I have just got back from a week in Achern/Baden, with my Daughter, Mainly to catch up with a friends rom 53 years ago. We stayed at this hotel (same one for me from all those years ago) and I was so happy that we did. The Host and Hostess were really lovely people and though we knew no German... More

I'm giving it a 5 in it's class of hotel. Lovely place and even lovelier location! Yes there are stairs so if that's a problem let them know ahead of time. It's a small cozy hotel, comfy beds, one of the best hotel showers I've encountered. And location. You could not ask for a better location!! Wonderful owner/manager, good breakfast,... More

We recently spent two nights in this hotel. It was in a lovely setting near the black forest. Clean, comfortable and pleasant staff, even though we had some difficulty communicating as we do not speak German! But somehow, everything was taken care of and we had no complaints. The included breakfast was ample with a buffet of breads, pastries, cold... More

We have stayed here many times over many years and it has never let us down. This time, mid -September, we also had 2 toddlers with us and they were just as well catered for and warmly welcomed. The hotel is well furnished and many rooms have a seating area too. Lock-up garages are available. The only drawback is the... More
